How can I improve my eye makeup?

How can I improve my eye makeup?

For as long as I can remember, I’ve had pretty much the same routine as my mum - a dash of kajal/ kohl and some lipstick and I’m sorted. However now that I’m in my 40s and live in the west, this is definitely an ageing look! How can I change my eye makeup for an everyday simple look that’s flattering?

What can I plant that’s best for wildlife/ insects/ birds?

Inspired by another post on here, I would love some advice on what can I plant that’s best for insects/ birds/ other wild creatures? I have an allotment, am inner London and would love suggestions for how to help other creatures out in this era of the current (and coming) changes in weather patterns thanks to the climate crisis? Thank you 🙏

Help with moving 4 year old in airport

Travelling soon (solo) with my 4.5 and 9 year olds, flying out of Heathrow. 9 year old will be absolutely fine but 4.5 year old will def want to be carried in the airport, which she’s getting too heavy for. Is there anything I can do just for help getting around the airports? No buggy etc needed at the other end. Is there an easy carrying sling etc I can use? Thank you!

Headaches in the heat

As the title says, I tend to get headaches any time I’m out in this heat, even for a bit of time. Trying sunglasses and drinking water, and keeping home relatively cool (as much as we can). It’s really not practical to only be home as I have two young kids and work. Is there anything else I’m missing, how can I avoid getting these headaches?

Pillars of the earth - do only terrible things happen to women?

I’m about a 100 pages in, and while I am totally into the story about the priory etc, I feel a pit of dread building in my stomach about either what’s happened or looking likely to happen to any of the women characters. I assume this is historically accurate but still finding it hard to sit through. Is it just me? Anyone else feel this way, or would you encourage me to just persist? Thank you.

End of year teacher gifts

Hello, trying to get an early start on getting thoughtful, small, non-rubbish presents for teachers from my child who will soon be leaving her nursery for reception in a nearby school. Any recommendations will be very gratefully received! Thank you 🙏🙏
