Please help me choose the right college

Hi everyone,
I have a 37.7k CRL (General category) and I’m currently confused between:
IIIT Una CSE
IIIT Bhopal IT

My main goal is to get a good software engineering job after college, so placements, coding culture, and peer group matter a lot to me.
I would really appreciate if current students or recent graduates could share their experience regarding:

  1. Placement opportunities and the reality behind the official statistics.
  2. Coding culture (competitive programming, hackathons, development clubs, open-source, etc.).
  3. Quality of the peer group and how motivated students are.
  4. Internship opportunities and how many students get good internships.
  5. Faculty, academics, and overall workload.
Campus life, hostels, and student activities.

If you had the same choice today, which one would you pick and why?
I am particularly interested in hearing from students who have gone through placements recently.

Help me choose between NITs/IIIT at 37.7k CRL (General, UP quota)

Hi everyone,

I have a JEE Main CRL rank of 37.7k (General category, UP quota) and these are some of the options I am getting:

  • NIT Warangal – Chemistry
  • NIT Rourkela – Chemistry / Ceramic / Mining / Civil
  • MNIT Jaipur – Metallurgy
  • MNNIT Allahabad – Biotechnology / Materials Engineering
  • NIT Delhi – Civil
  • MANIT Bhopal – Mechanical
  • IIIT Vadodara – ECE

My primary goal is:

  1. Good placements and salary
  2. Ability to move into software/tech roles
  3. Strong long-term brand value
  4. Flexibility for higher studies (MBA/MS) if needed

I am not particularly attached to any branch and would be willing to learn coding on my own if it improves career prospects.

Which option would you choose in my situation and why?

Would you prioritize college brand (MNNIT/NIT Warangal/NIT Rourkela) over branch (IIIT Vadodara ECE or MANIT Mechanical)?

Any insights from current students or alumni would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
