Parking in the American Legion lot or MAYBE at Knudsen's Carmels (across the street) is possible.
Do NOT park in Behrens Auto lot even though it's completely empty and has not been used in a decade and is right next to the RWS sale site. The Berhens family live to have cars towed out of their empty lot.
I've lived here for many decades and this is the driest I remember it ever being. I don't think we have had any significant rain in 6 to 8 weeks. Am I remembering correctly? Has it been drier than this before?
Pete Shotton was John's best friend as a kid and they stayed friends to the end. Pete was with John through the Beatles period and worked for him as his PA until he'd had enough. He saw him several times at the Dakota before the end.
I bought a used copy of Pete's book and read it. Some random Beatles details:
The other Beatles walked on eggshells around John. Nobody wanted to poke him unnecessarily. His mood could change in a heartbeat.
After his mom was killed John began drinking heavily. Shotton grabbed a bus after work one night and climbed to the top floor. There he found JL sprawled out and passed out drunk with no one else around. Shotton had to carry him to Mendips and put him to bed.
Paul was a reasonably strong horndog with willing and able women who were available. He liked one white girl and one black girl simultaneously Shotton says.
At a school party to raise $ John and Shotton put up a dart booth for students to throw darts at a target. The targets were not typical bulls eyes but Johns caricatures of teachers and faculty. It was the most successful booth of the entire fund raising party.
John read around 10 newspapers a day. He watched TV constantly usually with the sound off.
Brian tried to seduce him but Shotton told him no thanks and Brian respected it.
He had a strange relationship with Yoko. He says that she originally tried to get him to lend or donate $2000 to her art cause when she was just getting to know John. Then after the Lennon-Yoko relationship began she really really did not like Shotton being around John. He recounts several arguments he heard through walls or closed doors of John telling Yoko NFW when she wanted John to tell Shotton to leave. This continued until the end of John's life at the Dakota. Yoko is not portrayed favorably in the book, largely.
Shooton watched all the Beatles succumb to success. Early Apple was only a trimmed down version of all the kooky ideas they had for the company. They basically (never) said no to any idea one of them had, because they all felt they were clearly geniuses in all facets of life. Meetings with the four and their yes men were maddening.
It's a fine book.
Has anyone imported commercial art prints from Japan into the U.S. recently?
I've imported motorcycle art prints from Japan for about 20 years, but haven't placed an order since the recent tariff changes.
My shipments are typically US$1,500–3,500 and consist of commercially printed A3 art prints (not books or magazines).
Before I place another order, I'm trying to find out:

I'm trying to figure out if Supertrapp, a longtime Cleveland company, is still in business and producing motorcycle exhausts. Their parent company seems to be active but the supertrapp web site is dead. Anyone know the inside story? TIA

I'm not sure when they were made but both are in great shape and come with spare parts, manuals, etc. The washer is like a tank!
I really need a wider clutch lever side peg in order to get on the bike. Any suggestions? Is a V strom peg wider?
