Help me choose!

Hi all! I currently have a rook and anti-tragus piercing (plus lobe) on my left ear, with only my tragus and lobe pierced on my right. I've been wanting to add one more piercing to my right ear to make things feel more balanced, but I also have a toddler, which makes it a bit more complicated.

Right now, I'm considering a daith or conch piercing, but I'm open to suggestions. I think a daith might be more discreet and easier to manage with a toddler, but I like the conch because it could help balance my ear better. I hope that makes sense.

Straining when peeing

Hi all! We're on day five of potty training using the Oh Crap method. Everything has been going smoothly; we're roughly in block two, more in the half-and-half area. I haven't quite nailed his signals yet, but he has been self-initiating to some extent. I also prompt him around the 1.5-hour mark, or sooner if he stops everything and grabs himself/looks down. That said, I've noticed that when he sits on the potty, he strains or pushes, kind of like when you’re in a rush trying to pee fast. I wonder if I might be over-prompting him, and that the pressure to pee or get it over with is making him try to force it out? Has anyone else experienced this? I know it's early days, so maybe he’s just figuring things out, but I also know straining isn't good for the bladder.

Open to any advice/thoughts. I don't know anyone else to ask this question to, as everyone I know has older kids. 💗

Oh Crap method advice

Hi all! About to start training our 2 year old and planning to try the Oh Crap method, at least during the day. I saw a couple of really old posts where a few people talked about starting with it during the day, if that's you I'd love to hear more about how you navigated that and what you did at night (diapers? Pull-ups?). Our daycare is open to following our lead so I'm trying to get an idea of what is best to do. I'm home for the summer, so not sure if I should just keep him home for two weeks straight working on it with him then have daycare try to help or what.

Any advice/tips are welcome. I also totally realize this method doesn't work for all kids and may not even for our little. If this didn't work for your little one, what did you pivot to?

Returning to teaching - Interview tips

Hi All,

I taught for three years (5th, 2nd, and Kinder) before stepping away from teaching to work in Marketing and Communications (my degree field). I took a job as a paraeducator this year to re-enter the education field and am hoping to finally snag a teaching job again. Any tips/advice you can give to someone who has taught before but stepped away for a bit?

Any guidance is appreciated!
