LTT screwdriver belt loop

Hey guys, was just wondering if anyone has bought or made a belt loop holder for the screwdriver! I thought of it the other day and was like that would be really cool for work. Im gonna 3D model and print one, but wanted to check if anyone had done it yet first

Been missing my Node 202 build recently🥲

It’s about time for a platform upgrade and ITX has been calling my name again… it’s probably not worth the hassle again though

Show random input field characters in Hyprlock?

Does anyone know if it’s possible to display random characters in the Hyprlock input-field? I set the font to be the Minecraft enchanting table cause why not lol, and want it to look like you’re actually typing in that language when you write out your password. At the moment I have the dots_text_format = abcd which kinda achieves the effect I am looking for, but would love to know if anyone has been able to randomize it! If not perhaps I will submit a feature request or fork it and try to implement it myself later because I feel like this would be pretty cool with a couple different fantasy fonts (I mean imagine typing in your password in glowing red Black Speech)

Had some time to kill so I decided to rework my fast fetch config (Nobara + Hyprland)

Just wasn’t happy with the way the built in Nobara fetch logo looked and wanted to rework it a bit. Hope you like it, I’ll drop the link to my dots in the comments!

Concept I threw together for Reminders “Task Lists” in Calendar

Okay so, I absolutely love being able to schedule reminders in the Calendar app. It has absolutely changed my life productivity wise. The only issue with it that I found is that reminders, by default, take up 15 minutes of time. Not every to do item in your reminder list needs 15 minutes (they also overlap a little weirdly which makes it worse) My fix for this: you should be able to make a to-do list block item that appears in calendars like a calendar event (blocked out with start and stop times) that contains the various Reminders tasks that you have assigned to it. Essentially making it so that within the set timeframe that you’ve assigned there’s just a list of items that you want to get done regardless of their individual lengths. Perhaps you could pin whole categories as a task list, or just assign them individually. This would allow for repeated sets of tasks (think an “after work” task list with run, shower, and journal that repeats every day) or allow for you to block out 2 hours to get ready for a trip on Sunday (and the list contains the various items you need to pack up). They could also be used to mark down little reminder items for events (like questions to ask at your doctors appointment or key topics to touch on during your meeting)

Let me know what you guys think! Would you get any use out of this sort of thing? Also before anyone mentions it yes, I have submitted this already in feedback! Just wanted to see if I’m the only one who used scheduled reminders all the time but is bothered by them always taking up 15 minute blocks, stacking weirdly, and interacting with scheduled events weirdly

I put together a flowchart of the organizational system I use to keep myself together

It’s not the most optimized or organized system in the world, but I’ve been working on it for a couple years at this point and it’s the only thing that keeps me (relatively) functional at this point! I’ve gotten a ton of use out of having a hierarchical system, where the stuff I really need to get done is easily accessible and scheduled, while more in depth planning and creative work lives deeper down in its own place. Hopefully someone can get some use out of it or pick up part of the system to help them out as well!

Quick diagram I put together of my operating system journey over the years

Technically I was using windows XP and 7 at school, and have experimented with a bunch of others in VMs, but these are the different OS’s I’ve actually daily driven on personal devices! The asterisk is because my old Mac mini server is still going, I just haven’t set bluebubbles back up yet. Also sorry in advance about the handwriting lol

Using special workspaces to turn any app into a waybar widget

I was getting sick of the GTK calendar built into EWW (GTK’s fault, EWW is sick other than that lol) so I went looking for solutions and special workspaces finally clicked! So far I only set it up with gnome calendar, a pomodoro TUI app, and btop but I really like how it turned out. I needed to use a little script to make btop slide in from the bottom, but other than that it was super straightforward. I know it might not be as clean as some of the prebuilt shell solutions, but I made it myself and had fun doing it so I’m more than happy! As always I’ll drop the dots in the comments, I hope you enjoy and maybe find a use case for this yourself!!

I took your guys feedback and implemented a “minimap” into my custom workspace grid system! (Nobara + Hyprland)

At first I was a bit hesitant, but after implementing it the minimap is MASSIVE for being able to visualize where you are in the workspace grid! Shout out u/janbuckgqs for the idea! I’m super proud of where it’s at now, let me know what you guys think! (As always I’ll drop the dots in the comments)

I finally got around to making an actually functional grid layout with Lua (Nobara + Hyprland)

After seeing the response from my last post of a fake grid layout I figured screw it, how hard could a real grid set up be… and really? Not that bad lol. I pretty much just added some movement logic to the binds I already had and it worked. Waybar doesn’t react the way I would have wanted it to tbh, but other than that I’m super happy with the result! I’ll drop the link to the file in the comments for you guys to check out. Also if anyone is interesting in spinning this off as a new project together pm me, I would love to work on it with the community!

I was messing around with the functionality of the new Lua configs and made this pseudo grid workspace scrolling in my keybinds

Functional? lol meh. Confusing? For sure. But fun?? Absolutely. 10/10 would recommend

Completed my custom desktop environment and conversion to Lua today! (Nobara + Hyprland)

Still has a couple little tweaks I want to make, but at this point it’s pretty fully featured! As always dots in the comments, and I hope you enjoy! <3

Shout out to the incredibly sweet lady who ran off to go dig this out of her bag for me, I’ll think about you guys every time I get in my car🥹🖤 Thank you all so much for being so cool, same time next year?

Hey guys! A friend and I ended up in one of the videos that they posted on Instagram and I was wondering if anyone had ever reached out to insomniac before and was able to get copies of their videos. It would be super cool to get the full length/resolution of the clip, but ya know.. insomniac is insomniac lol. I would love to know if anyone has had any experience with that or who would be best to reach out to for it!

By popular demand we are now moving all Buying/Selling/Trading merch posts to this megathread to reduce spam.

Same as always; please be respectful, report scammers/spammers, use common sense when buying, etc.

If you are posting to sell or trade you MUST post picture proof, as well as as much information about the item as you can.

This is a proof on concept run for the month, so please provide feedback as you have it so we can improve the system! We will be disabling individual merch related posts for this month and turning people to this thread instead. At the end of the month we will see how it went and implement your guys feedback.
