Almost three years ago, I was lucky enough to see the IMAX premiere of Oppenheimer here in Vietnam (our release was pushed back to August 11th due to censorship delays).

At the end of the screening, they handed out these huge official posters. I didn't have space for it at the time, so I ended up tucking it away in my attic. With the 3rd anniversary coming up next month, I finally pulled it out, got it framed, and hung it up on the wall.

Do you guys have any cool merch or posters from the movie?

For me, it’s easily the alley scene in Season 2 Episode 6, “The Bloody Doors Off.”

The part where Homelander and Stormfront hunt down that thief into the alley genuinely made my skin crawl. Before they even deal with him, they’re casually talking about regular people like they’re completely beneath them, then Homelander just crushes the guy’s head like it’s nothing.

What really made the scene so enraging wasn’t even the gore, it was how disturbingly casual they both were about it afterward. The show basically turns the moment into the ultimate display of how detached and monstrous those two had become together.

Honestly, I was just counting the episodes until both of them finally got what was coming to them. Luckily, just two episodes later, Stormfront got absolutely beat down and then grilled alive, which was insanely satisfying to watch. And her lover finally got his three seasons later.

The craziest part of these scenes is how genuinely happy Homelander looks every time Butcher enters the room.

That little smile, the relaxed face, even the way he looks at him when Kimiko walks in. Dude looked more emotionally fulfilled here than he ever did with Vought, the Seven, or even Ryan.

When Butcher says “Daddy’s home,” Homelander doesn’t react like a guy facing his greatest enemy. Antony Starr plays it like he’s finally reunited with the only person who truly understands him.

They honestly feel like toxic soulmates locked in an endless war with each other.

I’m honestly just really impressed with the writing in this scene. It takes a lot of skill to make a dialogue this simple feel so heavy. The Legend dismissing Homelander like he’s just a buzzing fly is such a subtle, effective way to show that his "power" doesn't work on everyone. One of the best-written moments in a while

Just saw Craig Robinson (Darryl) show up as himself in the new episode of The Boys. It didn't end well for him! Anyone else catch the other cameos in that scene?
