Question about which tees to use

I’m an intermediate player, no official handicap but generally I’m happy if I score in the mid 90s. I was taught in HS that women play the forward tees always, but recently googled it and learned that stance has changed over the years. Recently I was playing with 2 guys, strangers who were below my skill level. Of course they were playing from the middle tees so I felt a little weird about playing the forward tees when I was already playing better/out driving them. Am I overthinking it? Should I just keep playing the reds? When would it be appropriate to move back? I’m not consistently on the green in regulation, im certainly not regularly hitting below par. just curious if anyone else ever moves back a tee to protect the fragile masculinity of their group? (Jk IRL, the two players in question were totally cool)

Edited to add. On a good day I will drive 200 or maybe 220 on my best shot. However my husband works for pebble beach so the courses we usually play are HARD. Situation above was at spyglass.

What’s a fair hourly rate for contract work?

I am looking into doing some contract work for a friend, getting their company’s items off the ground FBA. It’s gonna be like item setup, brand registry, content, dealing with their warehouse to get FBA shipments out the door. Probably no ads for now. I am a professional, I work salaried for a different unrelated company managing Amazon too, this will just be on the side. 8 yrs experience. Any input appreciated. In the US.

Starting a left handed 5 year old

My 5yo has expressed interest in golf, mom and dad play semi regularly. I’d like to get him a couple clubs. He is left handed. Any suggestions on whether to start him with right or left clubs? He is a blank slate. I assumed left originally, but I found out that our left handed adult friend who is an excellent golfer plays right handed because that’s how his dad started him as a kid. He said he prefers it because of ease of rentals when traveling, buying new gear etc. Any suggestions or input from lefties or parents of lefties?

Hi, has anyone tried to enter either via 120 or 140 on a Friday recently? We can go either way. We will be arriving in the early afternoon (sometime between 12-2). Curious what kind of wait time to expect so we can plan accordingly. Thanks

We are camping in the valley this weekend with some friends whose kids 8&10 who have never left the east coast before, so they are gonna be blown away. I know it will be crowded but I’d still like to take them on the mist trail because I think it will be a major core memory for them. We’ll just do the top of vernal and back, not up to Nevada, I think that would be too much for them. For the least crowds, would you all suggest starting the trail:

- Friday noonish or later
- Saturday 7:30-8am ish OR like 4pm?
- Sunday 7:30-8am ish

Input appreciated!

Updated to add: is the JMT closure above or below top of Vernal? Can we still go down that way?

Thanks
