Snorkeling at Vila Franco?

We currently have ferry tickets to go to the islet on Saturday, which will be the last day before we fly back home, and wondering for those of you who have done so if it was worthwhile compared to other spots. We'll be staying in Ribeira Grande so it's a little bit of a drive to get over there and it'll kind of eat up the day, so not sure if we should prioritize that or if it's one of those things that won't be as cool as it looks. We've already done a boat tour around there to see the wildlife earlier on our trip and did some snorkeling on the north side, which was fun but we didn't see a ton. Thanks in advance!

Birthday/large group in Manhattan for restaurant week

Trying to take advantage of restaurant week for my b-day dinner on Tuesday, any recs in Manhattan south of midtown for something that have good seafood and/or mediterranean but really pretty wide open? Would need to accommodate a group of around 10-12. Have been looking at Sagaponack but don't know much about it.

16 nights in the Azores, looking for itinerary suggestions

We've just booked our flights for mid-August, will be staying for 16 nights total. Trying to decide how to split everything up so that we're covering some ground but not wearing ourselves out. Our priorities are lots of hiking and eating, beaching a little, getting out on the water for a boat tour, and leaving some down time for relaxing.

Basically we're tryuing to decide if we should do the whole trip on Sao Miguel, or jump to Flores and/or Terceira (as mapped out here). Also read a few people suggesting Santa Maria, and based on the video we watched, that might be our vibe.

If we're going to stay in Sao Miguel, would it be better to just keep one place the whole time or jump to a spot somewhere else on the island to get easier access to other activities/spots? I know we're planning thijs a little late during the busy season, so lodging options might be limited/expensive, but this is my 50th bday trip so don't mind the added cost.

Appreciate any advice, getting a little decision paralysis with so many options available.

Flying direct from NYC...

Trying to plan a trip next month and have the option of booking a direct flight from Newark or JFK to PDL. My colleague at work suggested to fly to Lisbon first and then backtrack because direct flights are so unreliable, but this makes the trip impractical for us. Any advice? The extra time of routing through Lisbon is putting us off, because it adds another day on either side. Thanks.

Built my system back in 2018, used an r9 390 from a previous build. That machine has been humming along fine, except the r9 fans spin up inexplicably even under no load. So ordered a 9070xt that I'll be installing this weekend, but now wondering if I should upgrade the CPU as well, thinking of a 5800x3d or something in that range. Should I go that route or am I just kicking the can on a full upgrade of the motherboard/processor to an AM5? I've got a PS5 and Steam Deck that I do a lot of my gaming on, and a gaming laptop for on the go stuff, so this is mainly a productivity machine that I play on only occasionally. Thanks in advance for any tips.

Current system:

Ryzen 2700x

GIGABYTE X470 AORUS Gaming 7 WIFI

32 gb ram

750w power supply

2 tb ssd
