My Morbid Response to 'You'll Die Alone!!':

I hope to be so lucky! Many people in relationships don't even get that; they die with their partner- the last known person to see them alive- in the room...

Love It Or List It, S21, Ep 7 - Take the Equity and Run | Finally The Show I Love Is BACK!

Love It or List It Season 21, Episode 7: After 13 years and two kids, a couple's starter home is now feeling tight. She wants to cash in on their investment and find something bigger; but he thinkgs a bold renovation could give them the space they need.

------

Yes finally the LIOLI producers struck gold with the right homeowners and the right house for season 21. It felt like a real LIOLI conundrum, especially when they found out the constraints in the basement against their strict budget. At first I thought their neighborhood must be too good to leave, which is why David showed them the semi detached house 2. After house two I thought Page had it. Then, David's house THREE find!! Wow! That was a great opportunity at a great price for that family. As a real estate junkie, that was such a good fit, and I felt the buzz and joy of seeing someone buy their next home. It reminded me of when I bought my home.

When the woman kept looking back at the home while walking away after touring it, like she didn't want to leave, that let me know. Then when the guy said he dreamed of mowing the lawn, lmao!!! As a lawn and garden gnome, I can totally relate! Page did an amazing job, and the battle between solely the kitchens alone could have made them stay. However, David did an amazing job finding them an equally great neighborhood, with a bigger lot, permitted for a garage, ensuite primary bathroom, and with a FULL KITCHEN in the basement!? Wheew that kind of real estate find makes me giddy. What a great episode. Please producers find more homeowners like this: owners who stayed in their home about a decade, have real equity, and could potentially enjoy more (or a downsized/lifestyle-changed) space. That's a fair LIOLI showdown (not like episodes 5 and 6 which should have never aired, IMO).

Worst Yard On the Block- Love It!

I love Worst Yard On The Block! It's wholesome, bright, fun, inspirational, and educational. Since everything is donated, the lawn transformations are very budget-friendly and achievable for the average homeowner. I wish they spent more time on the reveal and the carpentry. I love both carpenters on the show, great creative, low-maintenance, practical ideas. I have some ideas from the show even after the first episode. It's an HGTV winner of these new releases.

My Three Most Recent Phones

Samsung Galaxy S6, iPhone SE 2nd gen, iPhone 17 Pro 512gb. Photo of phones taken with my macbook pro. Moon photo taken with iPhone 17 pro at 40x.

I got the phone less than a week ago, and I'm in awe. I love cosmic orange. The color is more subdued to my eyes in person. It's like a neutral orange, with it's soft metallic, bronze, and taupe undertones, while still being eye-catching. I love taking photos with the iPhone 17 pro. It's lightning fast when using my apps. The screen is bright. I love how big it is, and it easily fits into my large hands and my small purses. I can easily use the phone whether with one or two hands. Everything is easier to read on the screen with way less eye strain. I love this phone. It may be my favorite device purchase of all time.

Dog Nutter Neighbor Is One Vacation, Yay!

Eta: On* Vacation, whoops.

I have dog nutter neighbors who are gone on vacation. It looks like they'll be gone at least a week. Thank goodness! They took the dog with them or have it in some boarding because the whole street is so damn quiet! I love it! They are old neighbors with an old dog. So I have a sneak peak of what the near future will be like, and it makes me smile. Just thought I'd share.

When Someone Is Attracted to My Beauty, I Feel Unease

Beautiful hermits, I know you can relate. Just because someone thinks you're beautiful, it doesn't mean that they'll treat you well. Some people especially take delight in defiling and destroying beautiful beings. It's a way to 'humble' someone as people often say.

And don't you dare be beautiful and try to set a boundary, 'No,' means violence to them. They're angry that you made them fall for you, by just, ya know, having the nerve to exist as you naturally are.

So when you say, 'No,' you led them on, you see?! Being your naturally light-hearted self is no excuse, cause that's just teasing, you see?! You're beautiful, so you have to be an agreeable doormat at all times, Miss Congeneality, looking to get picked and chosen as the most agreeable trophy before an audience of strangers who see you as nothing but some meat to tear into.

When some guy tells me he thinks I am beautiful, I want to run away. It's as if he thinks this confession earns him access, or 'a chance', even if I know absolutely nothing else. To him, it means any further interactions means I 'wanted it' or have given consent to anything and everything, things my mind would never conceive of. It is never just innocent and never just a way to show artistic admiration in an agape sort of way. It makes me feel like I'm being watched like prey because I am.

This weekend, a guy at a store I frequent confessed as much to me, and I practically ran away. Before I knew the wickedness of some who think their targets are 'beautiful', I would have maybe blushed or felt like I had to reciprocate something. Instead now, I wonder if he is in something akin to the 'SA academy' where these coworkers are trying to sleep with customers as a competition. He's like the 4th or 5th person at this store in 2.5 yrs who has outright confessed attraction to me. One of them years ago touched my lower back/upper butt from behind without consent. Honestly I should have reported it, but I'm exhausted. This kind of stuff happens at school, work, neighborhood, with 'friends and family' and often nobody believes you anyway.

That's why these days I just love to be alone. I love to be single, happy, childfree, and alone. I can't imagine bringing a girl on this planet. I would worry sick that she may be 'beautiful'.

Recycle or sell old equipment?

How do you get rid of your ring equipment when you no longer use Ring? I have 6 stick up cams, doorbell, and the alarm system plus sensors.

Freedom From Sex, Birth Control, and Unwanted Pregnancy

One of my top reasons to be single, childfree, and happy as a woman is that I am free from the burden of sex and birth control. I don't date males at all, and therefore I don't have to worry about being harassed for sex or assaulted on some stupid low-effort date. I don't have 'the talk' about what I'd have to endure if an unwanted pregnancy occurred. I don't have to take STI tests or worry about cancer-causing HPV that a lot of males have but never get tested for and never care if they pass it on! I don't have to worry about someone forcefully kissing me on the mouth and exposing me to diseases I do not have. I don't have to worry abot someone using me for my labor or my body.

The amount of TIME I have from being free from these things has changed my life for the better, and I'm never going back.

Mutts are not home security

I just updated my home security system to nice wired , professionally installed PoE cameras that use cellular first with professional monitoring. While researching home security solutions, I'd often read comments from nutters saying 'get a dog' or claiming their dog will 'save' them in an emergency. Damn, does bowwow know CPR? Anyway....

I am reading a review for a cheap, popular DIY wifi system out of curiosity, one often recommended by noobies of home security, and the reviewer recalls a story where the alarm malfunctioned, refused to turn off, and scared the dog into an anxious puddle of goop. They said:

'The incident severely frightened my dog, who is now so distressed I have to take her to the veterinarian. She actually broke through a gate when the alarm would not turn off and its piercing siren wouldn't stop no matter what I did. The poor animal is still shaking two hours later.'

I imagine most dogs will either be weak noodles like this, bite their owner, or bite another dog instead of being actual home security. Nutters are delusional and use the dog as 'home security' while recommending cheap, DIY, wifi security systems that do not suffice!

Do not take advice about your human safety, well being, or life from a nutter. They proudly value dogs more than people, after all.

Vivint Labs- AI Video Search

Is anyone else using Vivint Labs- Ai video search? I tested a few and had some pretty funny results. I tested 'cat', 'car', 'man', and 'woman'.

It got cat right a few times, nice. Car was okay unless it rained at night. It thought I was a man when I wore baggy clothes. It correctly identified me as a woman by my legs, long hair, and dresses/shorts. Lmao!

Random, but I thought I'd share.

DIY Ring User Switched To Vivint. Is it too good to be true or did I miss something?

Just had Vivint installed last night. Is the deal too good to be true or am I missing something?

Switched from DIY-installed Ring doorbell, 5 Ring Stick up battery cams using solar outdoors (and constantly buzzing notifications at me so it functions 'like' 24/7 recording) 1 indoor stick up cam used sparingly, Ring door and window sensors to Vivint doorbell, 4 Vivint spotlight cams, 3 door sensors, home panel, garage monitor, smoke/CO detector and 3 glass break sensors with professional monitoring. So far, so good. I'm trying to see if there was anything I missed before my 3 days are up, if it's too good to be true. Total equipment amount is $4000, 0% APR for 60 months, $0 to install. I paid $500 downpayment to that $4000. My monthly monitoring is about $57/month and the monthly equipment is about $56/month for the first three months and then goes up $25 after the 3 months (so essentially $75 equipment credit towards the $4000 total).

I absolutely need 24/7 camera recording which is why I hated Ring, and getting on a ladder constantly to change Ring batteries sucked. I love the Vivint durress user feature on the alarm, love my glass break sensors and door sensors. I'm happy so far, but am I missing something? I was wondering if they should have added interior motion sensor and window sensors or should I just stick with door sensors and glass break sensors? I would need 9 window sensors and 1 motion sensor for away mode (that's what I have with Ring).

I checked the Technician's install, and all looked good despite an extra hole or two in the hardy plank soffit but it was filled with foam/silicone. I checked my attic where the wiring was done, and it looks fine though should I call my inspector to double check?

I plan to do Ring doorbell equipment buy back with Vivint. I'll probably sell my Ring equipment. Going to contact home owners insurance to make sure fire/ CO monitoring is now discounted. Anything else to consider?

[SFH] [N/A] I just reported 4 AirBnBs in My Neighborhood, Felt Great!

Just as the title says. I was thinking about how AirBnB is a blight on society. I watched and interesting YT video showing a trend on TT where AirBnB hosts are publicly rating guests. The way these parasitic 'hosts' ruin neighborhoods and drive up housing costs, and lie to new build sellers and lenders, should be criminal, a felony. So I did a quick search and found FOUR in my neighborhood and of course they advertise access to the community pool. One was dumb enough to clearly show their address, and the other three tried to conceal it but not well enough for any public CAD search or easy public verification. It felt good to help the neighborhood. It would be even better if the HOA gave me a cut of the fines collected, like the IRS does. But meh.... I'd do this work for free (shhh!).

The Mother's Day Wakeup Call

I love Mother's Day.

It's hilarious.

It's the day mothers are reminded that being a pickme for patriarchy doesn't amount to much.

A generic text, ugly grocery store flowers at best, something grandiose and performative, or nothing at all. If birthing big-headed kids for some misogynistic male was enough to achieve permanent happiness, why are the mom subs in shambles around Mother's Day?

It reminds me of how often Christmas is full of DV and true crime shit.

Motherhood is a scam. 4B.

I am a single-and-happy, childfree woman. I have a beautiful home I bought by myself, an excellent career, and excellent education. I'm physically very fit and healthy. Anytime someone hates or is jealous of me, they wish marriage and kids on me!

They never wish I'd lose my job or sell my house.

They never wish I'd get sick or fat.
They never even wish I'd go to jail or die.

They wish males and kids on me!

Enough said.
