is this truly not able to be fixed ?canon sx530 hs

for background, i am no camera expert, no photographer- and this is my first ever canon. i found it for a good deal at a thrift, and i dont rlly know much about them. i was just ecstatic i found a working affordable camera 😭

when i called the nearest camera shop they told me it would cost more than the camera is worth to repair, and that this issue is pretty much unfixable without taking apart the bottom.

i wanted to reach out and ask if there is a way i can fix it? find a part? diy it? 3d print a part? idk

genuinely i have tried taping it and making small enough pieces to keep the battery compartment intact and it didnt work, the battery pack tends to eject when the camera starts up. it is still functional, like i have still been able to take photos. it is just highly inconvenient because everytime the battery falls out i have to reset the entire camera. usually the mechanics of the startup alone are enough to cause the battery pack to eject, sometimes even the sd.

im just bummed because i spent a good bit on the sd card and batteries. but if there is no fix i am willing to take the L for it 😞

thanks in advance

my latest set

wanted an early summer/spring vibe, with gold
touches and a butterfly! (recently have kinda liked insects a bit, courtesy to an entomology course i took!)
