Feel free to ask any questions about the designs i guess.

Think i finally landed on a finalized design for my Kamen Rider OC’s helmet, pretty proud of how it turned out.

Still not too sure on the mouthpiece but i think it’s good enough.

Only gripe i have is that some things may not be symmetrical and a bit wonky, but that’s more of a problem with me rather than the design itself.

I’ll get to designing the full suit eventually, though anatomy ain’t my strong suit. I haven’t even landed on a good idea for the driver and gimmicks yet. 🫠

I haven't watched Go-Onger yet (i have seen the Power Rangers equivalent though) so it's probably explained there or something.

They kinda look like bigger, stylized SD Cards or Sim Cards to me, but idk.

In this design, i envisioned the mask actually being a solid helmet. If you look closely in the lenses, i added in a dot texture to mimic the holes in the visors of some of the Showa Sentai helmets like Gorenger.

Gave him a scarf, cause it looks cool. And i gave him a belt with a similar look to the Spider-Bracelet with a buckle similar to the one seen in Leopardon.

For the arm and leg stripes, i envisioned it looking similar to the Battle Fever J suits, where it’s more thinner.

I kept this quite simple, intentionally so since my train of thought was "What if this was an actual suit in the Showa Era."

There’s more shit before but i can’t be bothered to remember/look it up rn.

And i don’t trust the comments to recap because i feel they would take a side and misconstrue some things and paint the other side in a better light.

This is a bit of a rough idea, it’s practically in a very early stage so bear with me.

Basically, it follows a duo of main riders, i had them being brothers in mind. They’d have two identical belts (or a chest sash if we wanna be unique) and they would use their own gimmick in the driver.

Now for the theming, i could go two routes:

A. Animals, Insects, etc. Bit of the easy route, either they could be a Kabuto and Kuwagata duo and do the Beetle Brothers trope or do something like dinosaurs.

B. Contrasting things or Opposites. This i find a bit more interesting. Their forms could be based on Contrasting or Opposite things/concepts, maybe the brothers’ personalities are different to play into that.

Some ideas i had in mind are:
- Cat and Dog.
- Angel and Devil.
- Fire and Water/Fire and Ice, or just Hot and Cold in general.
- Rabbit and Turtle, maybe to evoke the tale of the Tortoise and Hare.
- Land Vehicle and Sky Vehicle.
- Magic and Technology/Magic and Science.
- Police Officer and Thief. (cough cough LuPat)
- Squid and Octopus.
- Comedy and Drama.
- Maybe something do to with the Bouba/Kiki effect.
- Creation and Destruction, maybe for the super form or something.

Let me know what you think of this idea. I may revisit this idea some other time since i’m already currently working on a Rider OC at the moment.

Honesty i like the design overall so far, think this is like the third or fourth version that i landed on.

Only thing i’m not sure about is the mouthpiece, i just doodled a random design as a placeholder. Feel like it could read more like a Sentai Ranger rather than a Rider but that may just be me. I’m open to any ideas.

Doodled a quick design of a gimmick item for my Kamen Rider OC.

I decided on vehicles as the gimmick, since his secondary motif is vehicles (his main motif being rescue workers) Yes i know Drive exists and i want to try and differentiate it from Drive.

Nothing much to say about the drawing since it’s just a standard Firetruck, aside from the eyes. I took inspiration from a series called Metal Cardbot, thought it was a fun addition.

I imagine it to be other vehicles corresponding to different forms (Firetruck for Firefighter, Police Car for a Police Officer, Ambulance for a Doctor, etc.) I also imagine there being auxiliary vehicles that he can insert into the driver that’ll just give him armaments. Like maybe some fist looking weapons from a bullet train, A cannon from an ice cream truck. I know those two aren’t exactly rescue related but those were some ideas i had

I don’t have a name for the gimmick at the moment, and i want to give them some sort of "Feature" for lack of a better word.

Like how the Gochizos have that pop up function that reveals their face and arms, the Capsems having a sort of zoetrope thing, the Wonder Ride books opening once the sword is unsheathed, the Lockseeds opening when the sword looking lever is activated. There’s probably more examples but i can’t think of any more.

I don’t have an idea for a driver either, i found this post on Pinterest when browsing for inspiration and thought it was good but i didn’t want to just straight up copy the driver design.
