i haven’t had my period in about 4 months, so my gynecologist agreed it’s time to induce it. i have a history of DVT that was prompted by estrogen when i was on combination birth control pills. obviously, i asked my doctor if this 10 day, 10mg course carried any similar blood clot risk, and she said no since there’s no estrogen involved and that i would be fine.

well, i’m a longtime hypochondriac and while it’s now under control, i googled if you can get blood clots with it, and the internet said yes and further scared me. i know i should listen to my doctor first and foremost, but this has sparked a mini panic. i’ve only taken one dose tonight, but i also just got a concussion, so i’m a mess. similarly asked the concussion specialist i saw if there’s any risk to my brain here and he had no concerns.

now i’m feeling all psychosomatic too. what have your experiences been with provera? has anyone worked through this fear before?

helicopter has been hovering around my block for like 10 minutes now, anyone know what’s going on there?

i got a mild concussion on sunday afternoon and it’s now tuesday morning. it’s been mild for me and really manageable, but this morning, as i was waking up and briefly checking my phone before laying back down, i moved my head backwards and lightly bumped my head on the wall behind my bed. it’s slightly tender where i bumped it but no worsening of symptoms yet, though this happened very shortly ago. i didn’t have my contact lenses in yet + my spatial awareness is obviously off now + i’ve always had bad spatial awareness.

i’m only like 40 hours out from the hit that concussed me in the first place. and i’m a hypochondriac so now i’m freaking out a tad and will monitor for a couple hours. how worried should i be about this???

was at a pride party and crawling through the window to get between someone’s rooftop and party, and i hit my head hard on the hardware on the bottom of the glass pane. i don’t have a headache except some minor pain behind my eye and at this moment i just have a scratch and a bump. my friends said it didn’t look like a very hard hit but so many of the sensations of being high are also of having a concussion lowkey .

anyone have experience with this? when should i get worried?

i’m pretty sure i’m not pregnant but i haven’t had my period in like 60 days. i got what seemed to be a period 2 1/2 weeks after emergency contraceptive but now i’m just having spotting. i worry i stressed it away, and that lifestyle changes impacted my cycle.

i got a blood test with my primary care doctor. can i be confident that i am not pregnant?
