Carry On + personal item on Air NZ

Hello everyone

I am in the midst of trip planning. I am flying LAX - AKL on Boeing 777-300ER, and AKL to ZQN on an Airbus A320-200. All operated by Air NZ.

I know I will have one checked bag(free), 1 carry on (up to 7kg) and one personal item. That should be applicable throughout the trip correct? I don't have to buy checked baggage for the AKL - ZQN leg as looking at my ticket it doesn't mention buying a first check bag. It appears free.

For those flights are the following allowed as a carry on and a personal item?

Monos travel pro plus carry on (image attached)

Osprey backpack?

If not, any recommendations for carry ons? Personal item I can just use a handbag if an osprey backpack would not be allowed.

Bunionette treatment with prednisone?

I have plantar fascia which normally does not bother me till I developed a plantar fibroma on my bottom right foot last year. I got an injection shot at the fibroma site which hurt like hell at the moment of injection then stopped hurting immediately, then 4 hours later hurt for a whole 24 to 36 hours then resolved itself. No more fibroma or well not active.

Fast forward 8 months and I now find myself with a bunionette on the right foot too. Started Thursday and I went in today and my podiatrist did xrays and said well looks like a bunionette. He said I could either get a shot or the oral form with a 6 day pack of prednisone. I remembered how much the injection hurt and opted out and got the 6day pack of prednisone.

Anyone here treat a bunion or bunionette with prednisone? Or any other otc relief? Or should i skip the prednisone and go back for a follow up in 6 weeks and get the shot. Photo of bunionette attached. Its not crazy painful or anything but there is pain and discomfort a bit when my closed shoe presses against it or when walking. Any advice appreciated.

Some quick restaurant questions + summer 2026 heat?

Are there any Gullah Geeche cuisine focused restaurants or eateries in Savannah? We are planning a visit but likely won't have a car.

Jury Duty question

So showed up for Jury Duty. Spent all day waiting in the rooms for my group/reporting numbers to be called up. Our group/reporting numbers never got called up and at 3:30pm the tv flashes saying "thank you for your jury service, please exit through the st paul street exit".

Does this mean I am good for another year and won't get summoned till at least that time has passed?

Happened upon Flowermart this weekend and loved it! Did one of the make your own bouquet offers. Where can one find places in Baltimore where you can pick your own stems and create your own bouquets? Like I guess essentially a wholesale flower market?

If I complete online check in with my airlines and am carry on only, I do not have to go to my flight counter correct? Is the process for me to go direct to the customs line with my carry on and digital boarding pass and if my hotel concierge is correct he said security is actually completed at the departure gate when you get there? Just wanna make sure I understand the process. I do have a print out of my exit/ departure form or whatever that is called. Is there an immigration line as well or is that rolled in with customs? Sorry if these sound like dumb questions :(
