Quick question about strings :)

Quick question about strings :)

Do you guys wrap your string around the bearing twice?

I know tutorials say it to just wrap it one time, but I always did two fearing the string would break casting my precious onto the ground... I tried one wrap today and I get much less involontary binds!

Did you ever threw your yoyo onto the ground because a "one time wrapped" string broke during a breakaway?

Thanks!

November itinerary suggestion starting from Italy

Hi everyone!

I am a new tourer fellow that only did a few 3-4 days trips for now. From the start of november I'll have some free time and I'd like to try something bigger. I need help figuring out what to do (I'll mostly sleep in a tent, and maybe every 3/4 days in an hotel to recharge a bit). The options I thought of are:

  1. Taking a train from northen Italy (where I live) and roam around southern Italy (better weather in november) for a couple of weeks to make experience.

  2. Taking a train to spain to do the "El Cid" route, for better weather and wilder scenarios.

  3. Going down the balkans starting from Gorizia/Croatia. I discarded this option because AI says there is the Bora wind and a lot of rain in that season there.

  4. Train to Apulia and ferry to Peloponneso in Greece and touring there. Best place probably, but a lot of psych. pressure cause I pay hundreads of € on transports and if I'm not ready then I wasted all.

Do you have some suggestions?

Since I am not very experienced and I am a little "afraid" to set off and take the first step (pedal) I think the best thing is just to leave house and go downwards in Italy. Not very good roads but zero pressure and backup train always there.

At the same time I think that being in Italy on asphalt roads with the sun setting at 5pm may not be the most enjoyable of experiences, and so I would like to find tours that mostly develop on gravel but do not require to ship my bike.

Let me know if you have any suggestion.

Thanks and have a great day!

Transmission cleaning method without outdoor space

Hi guys!

I just wanted to ask if someone has some tips (or products to suggest) to clean my whole transmission (chain, chainrings and cassette) without an outdoor space where I can wash things. I have a bike support and some room, but in my bedroom.

In particular, I am talking about that "dark sauce" generating from dust mixing with chain lube right after the first or second ride.

I was thinking about "washless bike sprays" like muc-off or similars, but how to I remove them for good from my cassette with a cloth??

How often do you clean and how?

Thanks in advance, have a wonderful day!

Session at the park with my preciouss

Just wanted to say I love this yoyo.

In this period I am practicing whip to 1.5, whip to kamikaze mount (the one starting from a sleeper), superflow (Adam B. tutorial) and scarlett begonias (from Isaac at YYE I think, tutorial by Leo's Yoyo Tutorials).

What are you guys working on lately?

Buycycle buying experience

Hi!

For those of you that bought a bike on Buycycle (Europe), has everything gone well? No problems with the shipping, packaging and so on?

Thanks!

Strings thickness

Hi guys, don't wanna bother you so I'll be quick.

Do you find Sochi XL strings to be too thick for normal size C bearing yoyos with 4.4mm gap width. I have a Koi and a superG and on both of them XL strings casually binds when I do tricks with quite some (but not that much) stringng around the bearing.

Still, high quality strings are so much better for slacks/whips sms last much longer. No brand strings are burnt after one day and "do not remain straight" during play making things much harder.

~Will Sochi/Kitty strings in "normal" width solve the problem?

~Do you manage to use XL strings on 4.4mm gap yoyos?

Medium width suggestion

So, I have a 42mm and a 56mm wide, and I'd also like to have one around 50mm wide, to have the best of both worlds... what would you suggest If you only could say 1 yoyo?

I liked the YoYoTricks Summer Solstice, but I'd prefer something shipping from EU...

Sochi XL strings

Hi guys, I bought the big pack of 100 Sochi Strings XL, but I then realized they are not ideal form my SuperG yoyo because there's a significant reduction of spin time when I use them, I guess because they're too thick and rub against the return pad even during normal play...

I already have a central trac size C bearing... is there any way to "make them fit" or I just wasted 30€ of strings I'll never be able to use?

Thanks!

Can anyone suggest me a trick to learn that has those "pop it up in the air and catch in back on another string" steps like Kwijibo and Spirit bomb? I think they look cool.

:)
