First time viewer after recommends from this sub. Im from the 80s, and this is highly competent writing, filmmaking, and grit.
I miss this type of big swing crime drama. It really gives a lot of space for small moments amidst heavy carnage.
... and find myself re-reading The Judging Eye.
I wont name names, all good authors, but sweet sejenus, returning to this series is too easy.
While AI solves math probs I didnt even know existed, and its founders talk about the Anti Christ too much.
I see on social media this show may be too 'America, Fu#% Yeah', but I think it is both deeply nuanced and a welcome return to military badassery (I was born in the 80s).
But this dude is like some kind of Viking spy god, and Im here for it!
I stumbled on a few versions of this premise about literal cross-border murders. Two called The Bridge (Denmark/Sweden and America/Mexico), and a 3rd called The Tunnel.
Complex and far ranging murder plots from a body found straddling national borders, portrayed in different ethnicities and ways.
Highly recommend the Brit/French Tunnel.
Today, this brilliant and legendary thinker tackles the rather mundane dilemma of being Shadowbanned on Twitter for ranting against Musk and AI.

Well Im into Firefights and getting my ass saved routinely by really talented teammates.
Is there a universal Thank You move or action one could do in-game, to acknowledge respect?
Hi all,
Beat the single player MQ a couple times (on Normal, loved it), tried Multiplayer, but was out-classed by epic Spartans out there.
So I tried the Training Mode section against AI bots and I love it. I look at the Popular and Recommended maps, mostly.
Anyone have some hidden gem maps from the Popular section? There are 24,152 of them.
Im halfway through NLF, and the jaw continues to drop.
From deep insights into Seven Cities and Malazan lore, connectors to Kharkanas and ICE novel plotlines, into a poetic and horrifying Icarium Rage POV, SE is srsly rewarding long-term fans.
But the way Elder Gods speak of a full blood Jaghut? Every powerhouse race, God, Eleint and Azath House... treads wearily around these baffling hermits.
The Witness series will have you cracking-up and cheering. It is a glorious Epilogue to the Fallen, JAM-PACKED with riveting tidbits. Here we find that Whiskeyjack is so godsdamn competent, he ruined an entire industry:
"Necromancers were rare beyond measure now, many having shifted their interests elsewhere. The Grey Rider wasn’t interested in bargaining, couldn’t be bribed, and never faltered in attention, or turned away in indifference. No, Hood he was not, and besides, he had a damned army at his disposal."
