Re-installing Spark helped

For those of you having issues with lagginess (as I was for a long while), I found that completely deleting the app and then reinstalling the app did make the windows load snappier. Still not very happy with the state of the app, but at least it is usable now.

Current shipping times for Move?

Has anyone purchased a chessnut move recently? What were the shipping times? I am considering one but can’t wait 3 months like some posters have shared.

Opening drills

I am considering getting a chestnut move. Is there a way to do opening drills, either by PGN or one of the major sites (lichess or Chessable)?

Is chessable become more unusable or is it just me?

Did they stop supporting the application? The iOS app keeps on lagging when I make a move (on my iPad specifically), and the website will often be down on the first load, and requires a refresh. It's been this way for over 6 months.

I love chessable, I hope they're not just planning on killing it. I see they're still releasing courses.

Curious about updates since launch

What have the major updates since launch been? I’m doing another run through after doing one at launch, but it’s been a while. How are the DLCs?

OTB Tournaments mostly kids?

Hi there - I'm restarting my chess journey after many years away. I'm in the USCF 1200 range, but my online classical and rapid rating is around 1900 level right now on chess.com. I'm a late 30s man, and honestly, the idea of playing against children is not appealing to me. The adults-only tournament scene in the U.S. seems pretty sparse.

How likely is it at my level that I would play mostly adults? What rating level does it go from mostly kids to mostly adults?

Best day pool / spa pass?

I don’t love balian springs, too many people. I’d like something more private / quiet if possible. Going on a Monday. I have liked Argentta and Four Seasons.

Any recommendations? Looking at Yotel, Omni Shoram and Hyatt House

Question about K8 Ultra vs Q3 Ultra?

I have a K2 plastic keyboard right now, and I enjoy it a lot. The key caps are starting to fade away and I thought about investing in a new keyboard.

I just bought the Q3 Ultra, and I love the feel of the all metal keyboard and the look of it. But, the keys are curved like a U, which puts my wrists at an awkward angle. I got a palm rest, but I move around a lot while I work and don't like moving two things instead of one. My K2, on the other hand, "slants down" and has two footpads, which is a nice typing angle while my palms rest on the desk.

I am looking at switching to the K8 Ultra, which I saw is all metal. I can't tell easily from the pictures if this has the "U curve" or the "slant" keys. What's the right terminology for this? Any reviews about the K8 Ultra?

We have two kids under 5 and are looking for a place to take the kids after work where we can get food and they can run around and play. It doesn't seem like DC has a lot of indoor playgrounds or things like open breweries where kids can run around. Any suggestions from local parents?
