Friends just lost their dog/wedding anniversary

Two very different subjects, I know. But we are seeing our friend couple this weekend who just let their beloved 14 year old dog cross the rainbow bridge, and are also celebrating their wedding anniversary. We want to give them a gift/gifts that are appropriate for both situations, but need ideas!

They like local maker/craft sort of things, but I won’t be able to get something custom with this short of notice…

How can I get better MPG?

Just got our first Forester 2 weeks ago and love it! However I don’t understand how we’re only getting 18.7 mpg. And what does AVG A mean?

It’s a 2025 premium trim, and I would say we do about 40/60 city/highway.

Should I fill these rodent holes?

Found 2 holes on the corner of the house, right outside our bedroom. I’ve been hearing noises early in the morning and I’m assuming it’s whatever creatures are going through these holes. I’ve seen people say to stick stainless steel scrubbies or gravel in them..what should I do??
