Urgent immigration help for B1/B2 visa

Hello, my mom landed in the US in early July and was supposed to stay still December. Unfortunately my grandfather passed away and she had to travel back to india to attend the funeral. Now I’m planning to call her back to the US (after a total stay of 15 days in India) and keep her return date in December.

Has anyone been through this situation? Could there be a problem at the port of entry here in the US?

Formula cost

I’m considering switching from breastfeeding to formula feeding. My baby is about 2 months old. Want to understand how much does the formula cost you in a month? How long does one 20 oz tub last?

Switch to Formula

Hi, I am 6 weeks PP and breastfeeding my little one, pumping and also giving formula once or twice a day. I am honestly getting tired of breastfeeding. My baby doesn’t nurse easily. She creates a good latch and sucks well, but still cries for some or the other reason. It breaks my heart when she cries while feeding and I don’t know if I have it in me to continue this for one year. I am seriously considering switching to formula for all her feeds. No nursing, no pumping. However, I feel this guilt, because my supply is good, and baby latches well. I feel like I’m not trying enough. All the formula feeders, how do you feel about formula? Do you think it’s a good decision to move from BM to formula?

I had my baby

I went to my OB for a regular check up. I was 39+6 weeks pregnant. I had been 1cm dilated for 3 weeks. I was also having on and off contractions or BH contractions for the past 1 week, intense back pain. In the appointment the doctor did a membrane sweep to induce labor and also set an induction date for 40+4. As soon as she finished, I got up to get dressed and my water broke! Water was trickling continuously! Everyone in the doctor’s office got so excited, they had never seen a sweep work so quickly lol. I then walked over to the L&D unit, it was the next building. Once I was admitted around 3 pm, they started me on misoprostol to soften my cervix. Was given 4 tablets total in the interval of 3-4 hours. After the first miso, the contractions started, and boy oh boy, they were painful! The pain was mostly in my back, my belly hardly pained. That night was definitely very very painful. I asked for pain relief aids, and they started me off with morphine. The morphine was supposed to last for 4-5 hours, but sadly mine lasted for 45 mins. Next they were supposed to give me low doses of fentanyl, but they couldn’t because the baby’s heart beat was high. I went through the pain as much as I could, and then at 8 am the next morning, I gave up and asked for epidural. After injecting in the epidural, they checked my cervix and I was dilated 5 cm. And then came the best sleep of my life, I honestly felt I was in heaven! The nurse kept coming every hour to change my position. This lasted until 3.30 pm when I was dilated 10 cm and it was time to push. Pushed for about hour and half, and there she was, my sweet baby girl!! Won’t ever forget how the last push felt after which I heard the sweet sweet cry 😊

I want to thank this group, I seriously learned a lot from here, and felt supported even though I don’t know any one of you. And to all the FTMs who are going to deliver soon, just want to wish you all the best, you’ve got this mama!

Hey! FTM here, and really confused between Nuna’s Mixx Next and Trvl LX. I’m short and petite, so naturally I’m leaning towards Trvl LX as is about 8-10lbs lighter than Mixx Next. But I’m mostly confused about the stability of the stroller. I plan to take the baby out for walks everyday around my neighborhood. The walkways are mostly paved, but I also plan on taking the stroller to parks. How does Trvl LX perform as an everyday stroller? I really like how sturdy the Mixx Next is, but it’s just way too heavy. Any advice or suggestions is much appreciated. Thank you 😊
