Legendary non verbal trinket trade

Legendary non verbal trinket trade

Just wanted to share this. During paper skies set, I ground scored a Kirby pin. It didn’t have a back, so as I was walking back to camp to get ready for the night, I took it to lost and found. I was quite on drugs and I kinda wanted to keep it (sorry) so instead I jammed it in to the wood of the gate that leads to ticket services/ADA office.

About 12 hours later when I was leaving to go back to camp, I remembered to check to see if it was there and someone had swapped it for this DOPE meta knight pin!

I kinda feel bad for ground scoring the pin and not giving it over to lost and found, but the fact that someone saw it and swapped it for this one is just fucking legendary.

If that was you, thanks, meta knight is my favorite Kirby character besides Kirby himself. So… thanks!

Coughing/wheezing/obstruction every day for weeks?

Hey all. I was diagnosed with asthma at an early age but never have had an asthma attack. Mild wheezing and sensitivity for me only luckily. However, some of you may have heard of the music festival Shambhala. It’s a great time, but there’s lots of dirt in the air and it’s hard to wear a mask the whole time while talking to people and dancing and swimming and such.

I also happened to enjoy smoking during “vacations” and “trips” if you catch my drift, and I smoked quite a lot of joints and cigarettes during the week I was there.

Every single day since, I have basically cut my smoking down to 0 but I have had a feeling of pretty serious obstruction when I breathe especially first thing in the morning and throughout the day.

It feels like there’s something catching when I take a breath, and I have tons of phlegm.

I guess my question is at what point would YOU go to the doctor for this? Does it sound like asthma flare up to you or something else?

Thanks

ISO 5 panel multicolor shambhala hat

Hey y’all, my gf had her five panel shambhala hat (25th anniversary one I think) stolen from her camp site at the gorge last year during bass canyon.

If anyone has an extra one or one they’d be willing to part with, I’m happy to buy it as a surprise for her.

Shoot me a DM!

Urgent! Stolen bike

Last night while i was coming up I let my friend borrow my bike and asked him to put it in the bike coral. He sent me this picture when he headed back in, and when I went to leave downtown this morning the bike was gone!

If anyone has seen our pacific quasar , PLEASE let me know. If you had to move it out of the way because of where it was left and decided to take it for a ride back to camp I literally am not even mad ! But my gf is very upset with me right now so please help a brother out 😭🙏

Bike?

Sorry I’m just really excited to zip around the farm on my mountain bike LOL. One of my favorite things about shambs. Gf needs something from camp? Forget something in the car? Ride to downtown for a smoothie? Feel like you’re going to shit your pants after that morning pick me up and need to get to the porta potties quickly?

I absolutely love biking around at shambhala. 30 minute walks turn in to a 5 minute chill bike ride.

I am bringing for the first time a somewhat nicer bike, and I’m super fricken stoked. I bought it very recently. It’s super cheap as far as mountain bikes go but I just cant even express how fun it has been to get in to biking this year. The first few years I went to shambs, I walked everywhere. That was fine, but now I will NEVER go back to walking everywhere.

Has anyone ever brought a slightly nice ish bike to shambs?I’m not worried about it getting stolen, but last year I brought a shitty bike. Even a shitty bike was great.

Just bring a bike if you can. It’s worth it.

Partner in serious need of grief therapist/counselor

Hello, for context, my partner and I had a cat who was hit by a car. Some of you may roll your eyes at this but it shattered her already very delicate mental health. She is not well.
Every few days she sobs and weeps uncontrollably, which is understandable, and I try to do my best to comfort and console her. We lost him about 12 weeks ago. We have several other cats and adopted a new kitten as well a few weeks after his passing.
She is consumed by guilt. She is convinced that she swerved fully in to oncoming traffic and hit him on her way to class or that she swerved and launched him several meters across the road. She found him 2 hours after leaving and immediately called me to come outside, parked her car, and I confirmed that it tragically was our sweet baby boy and I wrapped him in my t shirt and carried him to the back yard. We were devastated and shocked and in disbelief. We wrote him love letters and said our goodbyes as the rigor set in and his body stiffened. I’ll spare you the details save for that he was in one piece and all told it was relatively non-graphic. There was some blood and we knew he was gone but at least we could hold him and say goodbye.
Fast forward to 12 weeks later, of course we are both still very sad about it. The kitten is a wonderful addition to our family but there is no such thing as replacing a loved one who died.
I am at my wits end with how to respond to my partners grief though. We already struggle with going to sleep, and tonight after I had been awake for 17 hours and was trying to wind down for an already late bedtime, lights off and starting to sleep, she got out of the shower and entered the room weeping. I asked her what was on her mind, knowing it was likely the pain of loss we have both been feeling. She seems to think she deserves to feel more sadness because she was “closer” with him, which bothers me. It’s come up several times with her saying “you have no idea how I feel” “he was MY boy” “you weren’t close with him like I was” She started spiraling; She proceeded to list all of the reasons why she believes that she was the one who killed him, explaining that she was exhausted, driving too fast, on her phone, swerving, didn’t look back when she thought she hit something. I told her, honey I believe that this guilt is a symptom of the grief, that it is one of the stages of grief, and that it’s inevitable. I told her I didnt think it was her fault, she responded with venom. “You aren’t listening, don’t talk to me like that, how dare you.”

She continues describing in great detail how she fully hit him with her car but that she’s not sure if she did. But of course if I tell her it’s not reasonable or helpful or healthy to blame yourself when things like this happen, other than to try to learn from your mistakes (such as not driving distracted and not speeding) she will absolutely not have any of it.
She continues, describing how his body must have bounced off the front bumper and flown across the pavement, I am mortified, I have a seriously vivid imagination and I also was the one who picked him up off of the road. Carrying a loved one’s corpse is not something I would wish on anyone. It’s… not something you forget the feeling of.

But here’s the thing. His body was in the shoulder of the road, on the opposite side she was driving on. So it was basically not possible. I try to calmly tell her that I don’t think it’s her fault, I don’t think it’s what he would have wanted, for her to suffer like this drowning in guilt.

And I have no idea what to say at this point. I’m drained and exhausted and I had a very very long weekend with basically non stop interpersonal interaction for 3 days straight and a lot of physical activity, and I just can’t do it. I can’t comfort her anymore while she spits venom at me like this. I don’t know what to tell her that can help.

At this point, I was angry. I told her, I can’t do this right now, it’s 1 am, I was already almost asleep when she came in the room and turned the lights on and started this. I feel for her, really do. I am grieving as well. And maybe because I don’t feel guilt because I know with certainty that his death is not my fault, it’s just easier. Her grandfather was just diagnosed with a very serious cancer diagnosis yesterday as well, she hates her job, is overworked and lacking sleep for years, and this is tearing us apart. We have couples therapy but she is getting worse in every way to me. She is furious that I don’t have capacity to imagine his death in all of its awfulness while she demands I agree with her that it’s her fault? I am so confused and she was literally drooling and smacking the bed and very close to hitting me multiple times, pulling her hair and thrashing around. I am scared for her and I don’t understand what I’m supposed to do here. I told her, “So if you were really distracted, swerving into oncoming traffic and killed him, then you killed him. But we will never know, and the guilt will haunt you forever. You will never know for the rest of your life, so why hold on to all of this guilt? An accident is an accident” that’s what I wanted to say but she is covering her ears so hard she is ripping her hairs out and thrashing again. She has demanded that I stop talking, exclaiming that I am yelling. I am speaking softly and calmly. I firmly believe she is experiencing a break from reality. She is claiming I am yelling, that I am talking to her like an angry parent, that I am being so cruel.

I don’t think I can do this.

I am completely deregulated at this point, exhausted, falling asleep on the couch while writing this because she will not let me sleep so I am taking it in to my own hands to separate for now.

TL;DR: gf of 7 years is mentally anguished by loss of cat. I’m sad too but not destroying myself. She is turning in to a complete nightmare situation, frankly I’m scared of her and for her. Need advice please.

Working on cleaning and cleansing my bedroom, should the rug go under the bed or stay in this position?

Still a lot to do! Framing posters, raising curtains a bit, clearing surfaces, balancing colors and textures. Brand new rug, I like the color and pattern a lot but not sure if I should use it to frame the bed partially underneath it or should I use it like this to create a separate area in the middle of the room?

My collection!

My mom donated all my cards when I was 11. That was 18 years ago and I decided to get back in to collecting during Covid. I have been going a little crazy this year so I wanted to post my collection !

Keep stripping crank arm where it connects to the bike. ? Do I need beefier crank arms or are they stripping because I didn’t tighten them fully before a ride?

Do I need to tighten these (with a torque wrench which I don’t have) before every ride? I’ve ridden this bike probably 30 times and this is the second time I’ve stripped a crank arm. I don’t want to make it worse if I can fix it with loc tite or something, but this is really frustrating. The first time REI Gave me a new set of crank arms for free because it “shouldn’t have stripped that quickly” but now here I am again another 3 weeks later and it’s stripping again.

I don’t think I can physically crank it hard enough with my Allen key set, is a torque wrench the only way to prevent this and can lock tite fix it?

Four cards I got today, did I overpay?

Pidgeot was $75 flareon was $160, dragonite was $55, pichu was $40.

The holos are pretty scratched, the pidgeot has a corner that’s completely split. I saw the holo scratches at the shop but didn’t realize the condition on the corner of the pidgeot was so rough.
Condition stated was nm for the dragonite, LP for all the others. I think the pidgeot should have been considered damaged.
Overall very happy with them, these are my first 1st ed cards prettty much.

Demanding access to UPS store security footage- employee stole my property

Hello, I am in WA. I was accused of lying by a UPS employee who I believe took the contents of a package I was attempting to ship. I dropped the package off with him and he saw the internal contents and I asked him to help me seal the box better and he said “it’s all good.” He is claiming to not remember any of this interaction.

The “owner” or manager of this location (38th street in Tacoma, WA) is on vacation. I was told I can’t file a claim, and I was told I can’t get security footage. The police arrived today with me to question the employee who I witnessed with the property IN his pocket 2 days ago.

My package went missing from their store on the 19th of this month.

All employees have said that there is nothing they can do to help with security footage and the owner is not responding to my emails.

Someone, PLEASE help. This is a felony charge for over $1000 and it needs to be investigated.

iPhone 17 pro max went missing after handing to UPS employee (WA)

I handed my iPhone 17 pro max in a box to a UPS store employee. They are refusing to share surveillance video with me to determine what happened after.

I filed a police report and I’m attempting to get an officer on scene. Yesterday I went to the UPS store to try to get an update on tracking but they said I never dropped it off and accused me of lying.
I then saw the iPhone in the pocket of the employee, and came back today and he had a different iPhone. I could clearly tell that it was a blue iPhone 17 pro max. Today I came back and asked if he would be willing to show me the IMEI on the iPhone he had and he pulled out a different phone.

It’s all circumstantial but I am almost certain that this is what happened. I really need help as this theft is over $1000 and I have absolutely no proof that he took the box from me, other than security footage I can’t get access to.

PLEASE HELP!
