What are these little spots/specks on my mattress protector and how can I clean them?

I washed it but they’re still here. I was wondering if this was mold or something crazy like bed bugs, but the mattress itself doesn’t have these spots and I am pretty sure I don’t have bedbugs… so I don’t know what else it could be.
