Dr. Idriss Dessert

Had to share this review, because I didn’t like the the original lip baste. The smell was like a hospital lol and the color looked like a bandaid 😂😂

But I love this one! Formula has always been good and apparently this version has added peptides to the ceramides, squalane and shea butter formula already there.

The scent isn’t really giving anything but makeup smell to me lol (better than hospital though). Weirdly, this balm TASTES like icing to me 😂 It’s yummy.

I find it interesting how long it lasts on my lips, literally for hours without feeling like Ole, for example. There’s no tackiness. Very nourishing.

The shimmer is very pretty and minimal, can’t feel it at all. Nice sheer pink glow.

Decomposition Book

Has anyone read this yet? I finished it a couple days ago.

It really moved me, I haven’t cried while reading a book in awhile before this. It was really sad and distressing but also creative as hell. It disturbed me in so many ways…the journal chapters made me feel so much panic. I also loved the very last chapter and the way it was written.

The main character’s OCD was so realistic that it triggered my own a bit though lol. Just a novel I won’t forget anytime soon…I’ll definitely read whatever else that author writes.

Hard Reline

So I got my first hard reline yesterday. The material used for it really burned/irritated my gums at the time. It also was pretty uncomfortable to remove them after it cured. Afterward, both the top and the bottom seemed to fit pretty well, felt ok. By the time I got home, my gums felt like they were throbbing a little bit, but it was OK. I still left my top one in… eventually took it out for bed, went to bed.

Today, looking at my gums, they look a little bit red to me. And they still feel a bit sore even without my dentures in. When I put my top denture in it immediately started hurting, especially when I tried to chew.

I’m going to call my dentist, but I just wanted some opinions… its having tenderness normal after a hard reline? Should I give it a day or two to see if these actually fit well or not? Even yesterday, the dental assistant said he couldn’t thin it out much more because it would affect the suction, so I don’t know.

I just wish they would’ve left it alone completely.

Bag Charm 🍓

Anyone have this charm and love it/hate it?! lol…I really want it, and I have a credit from a refund on Amazon so it would cost me $8 😂 But the bag I can’t stop using right now is my black currant Juliet. Any opinions on how this would look on that color bag? 🤔

Y’all are sleepin on this lip oil!

I love this stuff! If you’re looking for a skincare focused lip oil, this is it. It truly feels like it’s soaking into my lips. It is beautiful and glossy and smells fruity. It has hyaluronic acid and seaweed derived ingredients.

I’m obsessed with it lol. I love how nourishing it is, I believe it does not have the polymers that a lot of products have that kind of form the cushiony/glossy layer that holds moisture in, this is more of a product that conditions the lips. Somehow it is still super glossy though!

My favorite lip oil.

Feels weird

I’m almost 7 weeks into healing after e day. All of a sudden (literally, like right now lol) my top piece feels really strange to me. It’s has fit well since e day with pretty good suction, even better with adhesive nowadays.

Right now it feels strange, loose. All of a sudden the palate feels huge? Too far back? Idk. There is a soft liner on there that was added like 3-4 weeks in, and I go in for a hard reline in a few weeks.

Is this normal? It sucks lol

Staining?

This feels gross to ask lol. But in my immediates the soft reline stays stained with adhesive residue no matter how hard I try to get it off. Doesn’t feel sticky or anything (don’t mind the fuzz, I was trying to use a Q tip lol)

Then today I noticed the orange. Is this from Benzodent? I assume it is because it’s in the spot where I use it lol.

Any tips on keeping/getting the residue of both off the liner?

Before they did my first soft reline my dentures looked immaculate and this…stresses me out. I scrub them, I clean with soap, I use tablets. Still makes me feel like they are dirty when they aren’t! Help 🥲

Also lol at the little hole where the screw under my gums poked into the soft reline

I’ll be at 4 weeks post E day tomorrow. I have had one soft reline that is still on my immediates.

Can this product be used while soft reline material is on my dentures already?

Should it be used at all this early on? Should I wait?

I got this done for the first time yesterday. They do feel much more comfy and seem to fit better.

I did call to ask these questions but haven’t gotten a response yet so just looking for insight from yall.

I know to keep them in for 24 hours to let them cure. It’s been about 15 hours since I went…the soft reline still seems pretty soft lol is that normal? He said to just soak the teeth part and not the reline part…how long until I can soak the whole thing?

When can I use a tablet to clean or just soap?? How do I clean these with the liner I’m so confused lol.

Also while they are comfortable now they just don’t feel the same to me, not sure if I’m just OCD (literally, I am lol…) but it almost feels gross to me in my mouth, not as slick and “clean” feeling somehow. Maybe it’s because the gross reline taste is still there?

When will this feel more normal again?
