the beast in me

i’m late to viewing… and wow do i want those hours of my life back.

i am so absolutely bored of (male) directors having their female leads make the DUMBEST FUCKING CHOICES.

i could go on and on. but if you know, you know. women aren’t this dumb. even grief ridden anxious women aren’t this dumb.

waste of talent with those incredible actors. directing & editing ruined anything good that happened on set.

2026 - hallelujah

it’s been EIGHTEEN MONTHS. 13 properly, after losing my top client, with no work, no job, no income. hundreds of applications, multiple final rounds, many ghosts.

covid completely devastated ALL savings, every last dollar from IRA and Savings account (AND checking account). CCs maxed. eviction papers posted on my door, creditors calling and government help applied for.

it has been a nightmare, to say the least. living in fight or flight for literal years, freeze response holding me down for days. weight lost bc appetite ruined from stress and only being able to afford basics.

thank the gods for my family who have allowed me to couch surf and fed me without batting an eye.

and finally… FINALLY, it happened. one week ago i got an actual, legitimate, respectable offer. i accepted almost immediately.

it’s the position i’ve been aiming for, at a company that isn’t overwhelming, with a breeze commute from the apartment i haven’t lost.

it still doesn’t feel real. but the paperwork is SIGNED! lets keep the imposter syndrome at bay…

it will be darkest before the dawn. please don’t give up, keep trying, and TRUST IN YOURSELF!!!!

HOLY SHIT!!!!!

and of course now i’m all “i need to call back and apologize right?¿” and talking myself down bc holy shit, No! although probably yes because no one’s fixing this except for me ykwim. still have to live w her.

i’m also realizing… convo was going well til it wasnt. i have a big interview tomorrow. (whole issue was i set a boundary asking her to please stop telling people when i have interviews) why so frequently when some event is on the line !!!!!

bad eggs?

luckily, they last a long time in the fridge. sadly, egg heavy recipes are not ideal to freeze.

have you found yourself flush with eggs? chickens laying a dozen a day? went away for a month and it’s the only thing in the fridge waiting for you?

how do we know those eggs are still good? put them in a big bowl of water, and whoever floats is bad.

(the good one will sink to the bottom)

CMV: Jews hold a disproportionate amount of power in American society largely for innocuous reasons but wield that power to persuade the US government to adopt foreign policy decisions that often run counter to US interests all because they have a greater feeling of loyalty towards Israeli interests

I've come to this thesis not through those stereotypically awful conspiracy nutjobs but through my own thinking. I've followed the syrian civil war pretty closely for the past 5 years and as the dust has settled the reality has become more transparent. To Israel, Iran is a hostile nation. The expansion and rapid contraction of Isis have provided Iran the opportunity to make their way in the good favors of Iraq and Syria. With the civil wars coming to an end, the Iranians with help from the russians have effectively recreated an Achaemenid Persia that has a direct link to Hezbollah in Lebanon. This had been Israel's worst case scenario all along and they had been working hard to make sure this didn't happen.

Even more ominous is the strange alliance between Israel and Saudi Arabia and so by extension us. Ideologically there isn't much of any difference between the SA and Iran but because the two are enemies and Iran is seen as more hostile to Israel, both the US and Israel find an ally in the SA.

I never really understood the past 8 or so years(I'm young so I don't remember anything before Obama) of staunch anti-Iranian rhetoric with the pro-Saudi Arabians within our government but with this thesis it makes sense ya know...the pieces fit with this outlook.

Otherwise why does America give a shit about a land as far away as Israel and Iran? Because of pro-israeli influence within its own institutions is what I assert.
