What to do?

I had a chalazion from clogged oil gland. The chalazion is mostly gone but my inner lower eyelid is very red and puffy. Was using warm compresses but I’m wondering if I should switch to cold? Could the warm compresses be making the inflammation worse?

My update from post yesterday on breast cancer scare

I am very relieved - they did not see anything on ultrasound/mammo that would have caused the bloody discharge I had the other day.

This is an imaging center I have been going to for over 10 years so they have all of my prior images.

They did see a cluster of very small cysts in each breast that they want to watch so I have to go back eveyr 6 months. Likely benign but since they are new they want to watch it. I had been on HRT briefly Dec-March so the cysts are probably from the hormones I took. HRT and going off of it has been a nightmare for me.

So I'm relieved. I'll take the 6 month follow up.

Thanks for your positive thoughts!!

I don’t want to Google - just posting for support only.

63yo and I’ve had several health issues in the past few months since stopping HRT which I was only on for 3 months - been from dr to dr and all my bloodwork comes back normal. Well today in the shower all of a sudden my breast nipple started to hurt and I looked and a little blood came out of it. Freaked out. Called gyn answering service and of course she just said you will have to come Monday and go for tests. Again - not googling. I don’t want to read and scare myself more. It’s all
I’ve been doing for three months.
Just sharing here because it’s better than googling all the scary stuff. Please give me positive thoughts.

High dose Omega 3 - good or bad?

I’m 63yo female - having some unknown health issues and functional medicine dr wants me to double my current dose of Omega 3 supplement (so would total 2500 fish oil, 2080 omega-3, 1380 EPA and 520 DHA) - she says it would be good for inflammation and to increase my LDL particle size. Is this safe to do? I have read that it can increase your LDL levels and also possibly cause a fib.
Trying to learn if anyone has experience with this.

I think I may have sleep apnea and scared to go to sleep

63yo female and have noticed the last week or so that I’m waking up in middle of night with big snorts. Also snoring on occasion. My father had sleep apnea and fear that I have it. Can’t see a dr for a month - called so many today but soonest is in 30
Days
What do I do until then? I’m already a side sleeper. So worried and scared to go to sleep for fear of what may happen.

Anyone not on HRT?

I’m 63yo and feel our generation got screwed by the whole HRT flawed study. My mom was on HRT for 30 years and she had basically no health issues until she died suddenly at 88yo. Now I have osteoporosis and joint pain

I am not looking into starting a debate about HRT versus no HRT but do you think it’s possible to live a full long, healthy life without HRT? It’s getting so much press these days it’s making me feel like if I am not on HRT, I am going to have a really hard time aging.

I posted recently about being on low dose HRT (started because dx with osteoporosis)for 3.5 months and stopping cold turkey (disaster) because I was having some strange finger swelling/stiffness, development of ganglion cysts. Following stopping I developed rash on face/chest and finger swelling continued, ran bloodwork and had ANA borderline positive - went to two rheumatologists and a lot of bloodwork and urine tests done - all normal thankfully, dermatologist did a biopsy of the rash on my neck and that also came back normal other than extensive sun damage.
So
My weird symptoms continue and I think now a lot of them are from stopping the HRT cold turkey because I have these crazy menopause symptoms that I didn’t even have when I went thru menopause. I have extremely dry skin and keep getting cracking on my hands. I seem to have some circulatory stuff.
I actually want to go back on the HRT but I don’t know what the issue was that caused the finger swelling and the cysts (the joint fluid movement) , so I’m a bit apprehensive now about starting again

How do you all deal with skin changes, etc. that happened when you went through menopause because I never really experienced all of this

I was on HRT at 62 years old for 3 1/2 months when I started getting some strange symptoms such as finger swelling, and heat edema and I stopped cold turkey. Dr said it would be ok to stop cold turkey - well apparently it was not!

Four weeks after stopping, I developed face rash, and a bad chest and neck rash

I had seen a functional medicine Doctor Who ran a lot of blood work and my ANA came back on 1:80 so I’m seeing a rheumatologist for possible autoimmune condition.

However, the functional medicine doctor that I saw mentioned mask cell activation syndrome, which could be causing the face, chest and neck rash on my and now I have purple under my eyes almost like purple eyeliner and purple bags, which I read could be blood pooling

I messaged my endocrinologist who I saw from my osteoporosis (which is who I tried HRT), and she mentioned something about needing to see a hematology and oncology team, and I am now completely freaked out!!

I am trying to stay calm because I know stress is bad for all of this but how is this possible What is happening to me?

Am I the only one who stopped HRT and developed these kinds of symptoms?

Looking for any advice and support because I’m googling on internet and that is never good.
