Plea for donations towards my $1000 student fees.

To the kind-hearted people who still believe in giving others second chances and investing in potential, I humbly ask for a moment of your time.

I am a freelance AI Generator from South Africa currently struggling under the weight of student debt and unemployment. Although I previously worked on AI training and data projects, opportunities in my region are scarce and the pay has often been too little to sustain me or help me fully fund my studies. Since losing consistent work, I have done everything I possibly can to survive and keep my academic dreams alive. From house cleaning to small-scale graphic design, video editing, and creative digital work, I use every skill I have to try to make ends meet. My phone and laptop are the only resources I truly own, and I do my best to use them to create opportunities for myself and support those around me.

Earlier this year, I signed up on Feenix in hopes of raising enough funds to clear my debt and register for the second semester, but my approval process has unfortunately taken much longer than expected. I’ve attached screenshots from my Feenix profile which explain more of my journey, my academic goals, and why I believe I am worth investing in. I come from what many in South Africa call the “missing middle” — not considered underprivileged enough for assistance, yet never privileged enough to afford higher education comfortably. Because my late father’s financial profile was always attached to mine on systems and records, I repeatedly lost opportunities for bursaries and funding, despite the reality that he never supported my studies after high school. For years, I carried this burden quietly and leaned heavily on my faith in God, trusting that somehow a way would be made. Going public like this is not me losing faith, but rather believing that perhaps God also works through people and human kindness.

Because I could not afford full tuition at my main university, Rhodes University, I tried to continue my education through single-course registrations at the University of South Africa with the plan to transfer credits back and complete my degree. Unfortunately, I now owe fees at both institutions and have less than two months to raise approximately $1000 to clear my standing debt and register for the semester beginning in July. If I fail to reach this target, this will become my fourth year sitting at home without graduating, with my employment opportunities remaining painfully limited despite my skills and determination to work.

I will attach my PayPal details for anyone willing and able to help. My PayPal: https://www.paypal.me/bulin99

Any contribution would make a meaningful difference and will be deeply appreciated. Even sharing this post could help me reach someone willing to give me a chance to finally complete my studies and change the direction of my life.

Thank you sincerely for reading my story, for your kindness, and for believing in people like me.

How can I make R10 000-R15 000 to pay off my student debt within a month?

I am a self-funded student, however currently on “pause” due to not being registered because I did not have the funds for it. For the past two years I have been struggling to payoff my student debt, and to register so I can finish off my degree.

I don’t have financial support, I don’t qualify for bursaries and student loans, and I have applied on external fundraising platforms but they’re taking forever to approve my profile (it’s been 3 months now), and not so surprisingly—finding employment in our country is almost impossible. It also doesn’t help that I’m a small town in the worst economic performing province.

I want to settle my debt before the next semester begins, so that I can register to complete my studies in the 2nd semester of this current academic year. I am now fishing for ideas on which channels have I maybe not tried to achieve my goals? If you have any suggestions please let me know. TIA
