Is it normal that I met someone and got engaged after only one month?

I’m currently in this situation and I’m wondering what other people think. We got to know each other for about a month, felt a strong connection, and decided to get engaged pretty quickly.

Some people around me think it’s way too fast and that you can’t really know someone in just one month. Others say that if both people are serious about marriage and have similar values and goals, it can work out just fine.

I’m not looking for judgment—just honest opinions and experiences. Have any of you gotten engaged this quickly or known couples who did? Did it work out in the end, or did you later realize that one month wasn’t enough time to know each other?
