Illustrated version of LOTR for kids

I have been reading my kids the revised and extended version of the graphic novel for the Hobbit, and it has been perfect for them. I read a few pages, they are all able to follow along with the pictures, I can easily do voices for the different characters, and the pacing for it allows for a decent amount of excitement building (leaving it to cliffhangers). It also is short enough that I am able to review the happenings in the story without taking up too much time at night time. For reference, my oldest is 6.

Here is the version we are currently looking at: https://www.amazon.com/dp/0063447991?lv=shuf&channelId=500&plpRedirect=mhFallback

Now... I have seen this question asked many times before, of what is the best illustrated version of LOTR, but that's not specifically what I am looking for. What I am trying to find is - what version (if any) would be the best match and easiest read for my kids at night time. I wish there was a graphic novel for LOTR - and while I know that it is not the best adaptation overall, it is a format that I know my kids can enjoy.

These illustrated versions are all quite expensive ($100+), and I would love to be able to be armed with as much information as possible when going to try and make a decision for this. I even considered just reading some of the un-illustrated versions I have to see if they would even be able to hold their attention at all.

Finally, if there are any other suggestions as to other books that are in the same style and genre as LOTR and would be easier to digest, that would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Which Live Server

So... I am a returning player, played heavily until EQ2 and jumped over there. I was interested in checking things out again, and was going to dual box F2P two accounts on FV. I was pretty interested in the fact that the no-trade items could be sold... but then digging deeper, it seems that a lot of the open world spawns of old bosses, old epics, etc... Are all pretty heavily camped. To the point where a casual player has no chance. So I looked at the Bristlebane server, which seems to also have a decent pop but does not have the ability to trade the no-trade items.

What I will be doing is this:

Dual boxing a shadowknight and something else

Playing about 3-5 hours a week

No plan to do high end raid content

Would like to do old raid content up to POP, then we'll see from there

Hit max level

Maybe end up subscribing at some point if I ever end up playing more

Make money and buy some of the items I would need to progress

I realize I will probably never hit max, which is part of why this play style is OK with me. I know there are many faster ways to do it, but I'd like to play the game and capture some of the old feelings that I had when I used to play.

Am I looking at the right servers for this? And I want to see what peoples recommendations would be.

GLiNet Travel router setup

I have a cruise coming up in a few weeks. It's only 3 days, but I wanted to be able to connect to their internet. I have cruised on MSC for long cruises before, and just paid by device (which was semi reasonable) at the time. Now, for a three day cruise - they want $149 per device. We have young kids who when in our interior room would benefit from some digital pacification - as well as I need the connectivity in order to work a few hours each day.

I have a GL.iNet GL-SFT1200 (Opal). It has worked well on several cruises before, but I have read that MSC does some level of packet sniffing to ban travel routers.

Has anyone actually had success with one of these on an MSC cruise - and if so - what are the steps I would need to take to configure it prior to debarking?

Builder roof issue

Hi all,

My family recently purchased a new home in 2024. It's in Florida near the coast. Since moving in, we've had humidity issues in the house, with it routinely getting up to 65% without extra dehumidification running. I have raised these concerns with the builder, and gone back and forth with them multiple times.

Eventually, they decided to get their legal tram involved and say tell me they would no longer be warranting my home.

So I went and started searching for the root cause and answers on my own and paying for experts out of my own pocket. After about 3k worth of investigations, I discovered that our blueprints that were filed with the county showed we were supposed to have upper ventilation in the form of 18 feet of ridge vents on our roof. As it stands, we have 48 square inches of off ridge ventilation. We have soffits for the lower ventilation around the entire roof line. So the major issue is that we have almost no upper ventilation, and the air gets forced into the house since it has nowhere to go, as well as condensation forming within the attic. The roof is a standing seam metal roof.

The issue I am having is this. Every lawyer I have spoken to wants between an 8 to 15k retainer just to draft a letter back to the builder. Obviously the letter won't cost that much, but they anticipate having to do much more than just a letter. There is a not so desired solution of spray foaming the attic and sealing it, which would cost less than these lawyers. Doing that however comes with its own risks.

The question I have is this, is a blueprint discrepancy likely to be remedied if I pursue the builder? Or am I just going to get stuck into legal limbo.

Thanks for anyone who can lend some advice, or if you need any additional details.

I am trying to add another "always-on" recessed outlet to my wall, in order to hang up an Amazon Echo Show device on it for a calendar. The stupid thing has an obnoxiously sized power adapter. I was about to stab a hole in my wall, and realized I should double check some things before I did.

There is a 3 gang switch box directly below where I want to install it. Initially, the plan was to connect onto one of those switches, but after reading about it - all of those switches are three way switches and I thought that would be a bit more complex. Directly below that, there is an outlet. So I figured I would tap into there. But then after looking at it more, I realized there was no easy way to remove either box.

Both of the boxes are "new work boxes", and I do not see a way to snake a wire out of them or into them in order to establish the new connection. Do I need to remove and replace the entire box in order to work inside of it? Is there an easier way that I am overlooking or overthinking? What would be the simplest way to do this?

Here is a basic image of what I am trying to do. This is all has drywall over it. The brown is the location of the stud. The red box is where I want to install my Amazon Echo Show. The blue box is the 3 gang, and the green box is the outlet I am planning to connect to.

Thanks!
