Hi Guys

Does upgradation round happens in CSE as well. Like spot Round is for lower branches. Does upgradation round happen for top branches as well?

Where have I come, where have I gone?

Is my journey already over at dawn?

I used to be a bright, studious kid,

With a clear mind, proud of what I did.

I knew that growing up meant things would shift,

But I never expected this heavy, dark drift.

I used to welcome challenges to strengthen my core,

Back when my world felt secure, up to twenty-twenty-four.

But now, isolated in this dummy schooling trap,

I’m lost, trying to find my way back on the map.

The regret weighs heavy, a constant, sharp pain,

As my old achievements wash away in the rain.

The blank pages ask me, "Where is that topper from ten?"

And I have no answers to give them again.

I’m desperately searching for myself knew,

Before the screens and the silence completely took through.

Even my friends have become like ghosts in the night,

We used to share laughs, now I just fight with them.

I have no control over my tonge that's makes my friendship break

Leaving me lonely, counting all my mistakes.

I want to cast off the phone, to break from the screen,

But the silence that follows is too heavy and mean.

No more do I want to just blindly cram for a grade,

While the warmth from my parents feels starting to fade.

The pressure is crushing, the dark thoughts start to grow,

But deep down inside me, there’s a truth that I know:

I can still rebuild from the pieces that cracked,

I can still learn to heal, and improve where I lacked.

Where have I come, where have I gone?

Whatever I say is absolute truth and just think about it. I know I will get downvoted and lose my karma but I won't hide from speaking the truth. I also expected the mods to pin this and even Aditya Bhaiya - you are so great yet you didn't just think logically.

Why do we even need R5? It's logical that R4 will act as R5 because a lot of students will withdraw. And the rest can be managed in Upgradation and Spot Rounds.

Unnecessary Delay. All of us are 17+ and should know how to make decisions beforehand. Life doesn't given you a chance to make a change for your mistake. Unnecessary delays the counselling process that's my problem.

I am also an EWS candidate and edited my choices as per cutoff. Cutoff shocks for EWS came as early as R1 and thus a choice was given to edit in R2.

Why do some people's negligence encounter delays for the hardworking top students? Spot and Upgradation Rounds and then branch upgradation after 1st year all are possible What's fishy, huh? Compare the cutoffs with the previous year 2024 they are very loose. If you just saw 2025, it's your mistake. It was very tough making an EWS Certificate during 2025 and hence the cutoffs stooped so low...

Accept your fate and move on! Don't blame the system every time!

I have an EWS rank of 420 in IAT. Should I expect IISC Bangalore or look for others?

Can a senior or a professional please guide me as to in what language should I learn DSA? I am pretty comfortable with both the languages.. though python me I enjoy a little more

For context - 2030 MCE

I love Mathematics as well as Coding & hence I have preferred MCE in DTU over CSE, CSAI (NSUT), CSDS, SE, IT,etc. Now I also know it is a very demanding branch. So I plan to start now (2030 batch). That's why from all MCE Seniors - need help. I saw the new syllabus and this is what I planned.

1. AM101: I have started from that Kreyszig Book of Maths - currently finishing Infinite Series. Will then move to Calculus.
2. MC103: Python Programming - I know Python so revising from FreeCodeCamp Python Certification Course.

I require help in how to start AP101, EC101, ME 105 & What is AEC/VAC?

I'm a delhi HS student but since my hometown is 1000km far so I am expecting hostels. Should I?
