Do men only get close to women they find pretty?

Hi!!! I (20F) have a bit of a crush on a guy in my class. It might just be my insecurities talking, but I don't think I'm the type of girl he finds attractive. I was talking to a male friend, and he told me that men don't befriend women they find unattractive (I don't agree with that bs btw).

But this guy *is* always smiling and very polite to me; he says goodbye every day and even seeks me out sometimes, things he doesn't do with my other girl friends.

What’s your take/verdict on what my friend said? Do men only get close to women they find pretty?

What can I (20f) do?

My grandma thinks (actually, fully believes) my grandpa is having an affair. It has been extremely stressful cause she keeps fighting and being mean to him most of the times. Today, she said something about "what me and my grandpa have", insinuating that I am the "mistress", cause, and I quote her, "he's not your mom's dad, he's not my husband, so you guys aren't related". So, besides from disgusting, a lie and so deeply sad, I can't stop thinking about how hurtful that must be for my grandpa. He's the most respectful guy I've ever met, he doesn't even say bad words in front of me...

How can I act in this situations regarding my grandma? About the whole affair thing, cause obviously telling her the truth = nothing but fights... but I feel like I need to do something, cause it's really hurting my grandpa

My grandma doesn't love me anymore.

Today, my grandma got angry because my aunt and I (20f) cleaned the house (she’s very territorial about cleaning, but it had become impossible to keep it up the way it was), and she told me she didn't love me anymore.

Yesterday, before bed, she kissed me on the forehead and said she loved me. I just need to be reminded that it isn't her—that it's the illness—because, honestly, my heart broke a little

Prayers for my granny

Today I ask for prayers for my grandmother; she is very confused, forgetting things, and seeing things that aren't there. We’ve had the tests done and will go back to the doctor next week. I know His name is above every diagnosis and every illness, so I ask you to pray for her healing. God bless you

If we don't laugh, we'll cry.

Is there any situation involving the person with Alzheimer's or dementia, even tho it is tragic, that strikes you as funny, where you feel like if you didn't laugh, you'd end up crying?

My grandma is CONVINCED my grandpa is having an affair. Mind you the poor man doesn't go out without her and he's pretty much obsessed with his wife.

Can you help me think this through logically?

I (20f) know no one here can give a medical diagnosis, but the test results haven't come back yet, and I’m losing my mind. My grandmother is 81; she’s been quite forgetful, but the main issue is that she has ideas that aren't based in reality. She sees people who aren't there, believes my grandfather is having an affair, and thinks we’re conspiring against her. The first doctor said that, given her age, it couldn't be Alzheimer's... What else could it be? Dementia? I'm so scared, I don't know how to take care of her cause I don't even know how to take care of me

Is it really bad that I need a break sometimes?

Living with my granny and dealing with her disease is really tricky cause sometimes i just need a break from her. I feel so guilty for thinking that way, since my biggest fear is losing her. At the same time, I can't help getting irritated, especially when she acts somewhat childishly, and it almost seems like she’s testing my limits to see how much I can take before I break down. Obviously, that’s not the case, she's not doing it on purpose.

Do you guys ever feel that way? That you just need a bit of quietness?

I need some advice:(

Hi :( My grandma is undergoing some tests, and we suspect it might be Alzheimer's based on her symptoms. I live with her, and whenever I point out something that did or didn't happen, she gets really irritated—bordering on verbal aggression. I know it’s not right to contradict what they believe, but it’s so hard to do that all the time... Does anyone have any advice or tips? Sometimes I don't even realize I'm doing it; I mostly do it out of desperation for her to remember. I'm only 20 years old... I don't know how to handle this.
