We start with photos of the architecturally pleasing ways natural light is filtered to the mall interior. Then we get a photo of the large indoor play area, and then a long hallway and an old restaurant.
Then we get photos of the modern main lobbies, and then Sears is worthy of four photo slots, having closed less than a decade ago and still being recognizable and in very good condition.
Then we move on to Dillard's - underneath the beautiful three-floor and mold-infested interior lies a dingy and flooded basement mechanical room that once served as the basement lobby of a McDonald's. The final shot is the exterior of the modern main main lobby.
The McDonald's/Dillard's basement is one of three known subterranean areas of the mall - another being an old discount basement area in the former Macy's anchor, and a third being unknown until demolition, only hinted at by the mysterious and inaccessible exterior staircase leading underground near the parking garage...
If you haven't already, don't forget to check out Part 1, focusing on decay, vandalism, and other similarly sad and gloomy things!

Normally I wouldn't type stuff to try to scare people off in a post like this, but I was lucky I was able to explore this mall. It took some number of visits to find a way inside - maintenance regularly patches holes, police are often chilling in the parking lot, and they run heat-sensing drones over the building when they feel like it. Additionally, the building's condition is hazardous, with significant mold and asbestos in some of the anchors. I got sick due to the mold exposure shortly after this visit. That being said...
We start off looking at the extension building of Sears separate from the rest of the mall. Then we move on to damage in the main interior of Tri-County Mall. Then we get a shot of Sears, a shot of the mold and water damage in Dillard's (Macy's is in similar condition), and a shot of the flooding on the basement level of Dillard's. The last photo shows the damage in a very extensive hallway going behind many of the main stores in the mall.
20 photo limit, so part 2 coming soon, highlighting the beauty of the architecture, liminal shots, long-forgotten underground rooms, and more!

This mall spent quite some time dying and finally closed a couple of years ago. I'm happy to see this building reused instead of being torn down like so many other dead malls.
Similar to KYOVA Tri State Mall in Ashland, the central area of the mall has been taken over by a ripoff Malibu Jack's. The massive old Sears space is being used by a landscaping company, and a Planet Fitness is adjacent to the main interior. The only major vacant space is the old JCPenney.
My photos start off by showing the remnants of Sears, then the remnants of the mall interior, then the front exterior, and finally, the single photo I have of the original mall interior while it was still a mall.
