Oil change day for the oil burning 2003 k24

Last change was with Valvoline restore and protect which I hope did a lot of cleaning. Ran the EPR with the VRP for about 15-20 minutes varying the rpm’s then drained it and fill it up with some cheap synthetic oil and a cheap filter to flush the rest of the chemical out. Filled up with Castrol Edge Euro 0w30 and the OEM filter. The quart of HPL EC30 is for some more cleaning. Hopefully this can help with the oil burning. Normal rate of burn is 1 quart/800-1000 miles.

Well I’m not the best base builder but I think it looks ok for what it is. Been playing for a little over a year now with my friends.

I did end up adding in a fishing dock since I seem to always build by water.

7th gen 2.4 Accord owners

Just to let you know if you wanted to run a bigger oil filter the Mobil 1 M1-104A (aka s2000) filter fits. Also Napa Gold 1334, Carquest 85334, STP S2808 are the same oversized fitment cross reference numbers. This also will fit the v6 models since the oil filter sits in the wheel well.

Meet my girl Donut

My little babygirl was found in an engine bay at about 5 weeks old. Now she’s about 8 months old and small for a cat from what I’ve been told but she’s healthy. She’s desk sized which is perfect since she likes watching YouTube with me.

First round oil change of Valvoline restore and protect has hit 1k miles

Burned about 1.5 QTs so far but planning to keep going for a while to see how much it improves. Worst case will be doing a piston soak with Berryman B12 in the cylinders. Running 5w30 engine has about 165k on it.

Recently started running the Valvolines Restore and Protect in my 03’ 2.4L and it seems to be running smoother and quieter. Definitely think I’m going to stick with this from here on out with maybe a run of Redline, Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w30 if I can’t find the RnP. I can tell my engine loves running 5w30 with how many miles I have on it.
