I've had a jailbroken ps4 for years but i don't have a lot of knowledge on the ps5 scene.

I got a 11.6 slim with a disc drive yesterday and i got confused when i tried to jb.

So here are my questions:

Is y2jb the only way to jailbreak it?(the jb game discs are close to 500$ where i live so i can't do that)

Will my disc drive get unpaired when i restore the y2jb backup?

Can i use my own backup that has the digital swrr game if the backup was taken from a 13.20 ps5?

Can i use the(native) youtube app that is already installed on the ps5?

Is there a post or video or thread that explains and helps newbies?

Basically I've noticed that the whites with color temp set to -5( or warm 2) feel wrong so i got that android app that measures color temperature with the phone camera and apparently -5 (warm 2) is targeting 6100k while -4 is targeting the intended 6500k

Now i know the app isn't probably as accurate as real equipment so idk what to do and i couldn't find anything online.

To me -5 looks better sometimes but the white keep bugging me and makes me think it's not as accurate

Im asking because im not as caught up on the ps5 scene as the ps4 scene. I know there is a disc unpatch thing but i heard it's only up to 12.0

I would prefer the disc version but the 1 hour wait is too much for me since we get power outages often where i live(btw im not complaining and i appreciate everythingthe devs do in the community)

(First of all yes. Im planning on a getting a sound system but it's gonna take more than a year to do so since i got so much going on right now)

I can’t decide what sound preset is actually best for story/single player games on TV speakers.

I mostly play stuff like Ghost of Yōtei and I usually play at medium-low volume so I don’t annoy neighbors or people in the house.

I keep switching between Standard and Movie mode and my brain can’t settle on one. Then I made the mistake of rouching the extra settings (surround virtualizer, bass enhancer, dialogue enhancer, definition). and now I’m even more confused.

Some people say Movie mode with all the extra processing turned off is the closest to how the devs intended it to sound, but I honestly don’t know anymore.

I just want:

Good dialogue

quiet and loud moments to still hit properly

Decent immersion

No weird processing

Hi i have a c645 that has never been updating since i got back in early 2025. I've never did due to privacy concerns and in fear of an update breaking something or making weird changes/breaking something.

So should i update or leave it as is

Im on 12.70 but i don't have any of the games that's used as a userland. Is there any hope for a userland'less guy like me?
