Things I've tried and things I want to try to stop pulling

I've tried a few things to stop ever since I decided i had tp a few weeks ago and here are my results.

Please send more if you have any!!

Knitting a hat: 6/10 I initially just needed a cute looking hat to cover up my scalp, but the process of knitting it was actually way better at stopping me (something to do with both hands) than the hat itself. I still reach up to pull my hair and then instead of realising "wait, theres no hair here!" I just started fiddling with the loose pieces of yarn. Sure it stops the hair pulling, but I'd like to get rid of the habit of reaching up there completely. Also, I get verh hot.

Slapping myself every time I pull a hair: 7/10, hasnt made me reach up to do it any less, but it makes me stop as soon as i notice myself pulling instead of just continuing for a long time. I thought the pain would make me associate the hair pulling negatively enough that id stop reaching up, but it hasnt really done that.

Sitting on my hand: 3/10, I forget what i was doing and accidentally set my hand free within like 30 seconds every time.

Things on my to do list (might edit post later):

Getting a good figet toy

Gloves!

Making a hat out of upward facing needles (last resort)

Adhd meds and caffeine

Does anybody else with histamine issues react really badly to caffeine and ADHD medication? I can't take any meds for my ADHD because I feel way to anxious and jittery and hypersensitive to it. I can't drink a single cup of tea without sort of wanting to die a few hours later because of how tense and uncomfortable my body feels, along with the anxious feeling. Wondering if anyone else is absolutely unable to consume any of these like I am or if something else might be causing this.

Ocd meds that arent antidepressants too?

Does anybody know what medications are best for ocd without being antidepressants too? I've been on fluoxetine for years and it used to do wonders for me but now that I don't have crippling depression anything over 10mg makes me feel awful. The problem is that anything under 20-25 does nothing for my ocd. Also been on sertraline and it made me feel even worse.

Anything that commonly causes a lot of weight gain is pretty much off the table, I have horrific BDD...

Any leads on meds thay won't feel like I'm on a way to high dose while actually taking care of ocd?

Why do mirrors look silver

I thought mirrors were made our of glass or something like that. Even if they are made from some sort of metal, why would something perfectly reflective look silver? Edit: people are saying its because of the metal backing but I still dont get it because it's perfectly reflective, like it's the colour of what's around it you don't really see the metal I DONT GET IT

Oh my god its all connected. I have audhd, hEDS and probably pots, but there have always been strange unexplained issues that I haven't been able to fit into one of those boxes. After months of suspecting histamines have something to do with it, I had a few breakthroughs googling after a few weeks of my unexplained symptoms suddenly becoming worse or new similar ones appearing. (Turns out its been extra bad because I changed my diet a bit ago and dear lord it's literally only foods that histamine intolerant people are suggested to avoid).

I just find it so remarkable how autism can pile so many of these things on you at once. If you have autism, you're so much more likely to have a bunch of syndromes like hEDS, pots, mcas, me/cfs, PMDD, ect ect. As a person studying to one day go into the medical field, I'd love to know exactly what causes this. Is the way EDS affects connective tissue the cause of mcas? (i definitely think my pots is caused by EDS) Is histamine intolerance the cause of PMDD? What is it in the genes that cause autism that connects all this? I am itching to know how it works, but new studies coming out is such a painfully slow process.
