Yummy turkey cheeseburger with broccoli rabe
Wifey asked for a low-sodium preparation, and this one is too yummy to share. So, if you've been shopping lately, then you've noticed that hamburger meat is expensive.af now. But ground turkey is roughly half the price. Why? Well, it doesn't cook up quite the same, unless you really know what you're doing.
Yummy turkey cheeseburger recipe:
1 lbs ground turkey 93/7 mix (don't go fat-less)
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. black pepper
1/2 tsp. white pepper
1/4 cup panko
1 egg
1/8th cup fresh chopped parsley
Mix them up, make patties, and drop onto the griddle. Sear each side before flipping. When the patties feel firm, they are probably done.
Broccoli rabe:
Baby Broccoli
2 tbsp chilli flakes
2 tbsp garlic/basil/lemon mix (Badia sells this)
2 tbsp olive oil
Bring saltwater to a boil and cook your broccoli for three minutes, then strain, rinse in cold water, and refill the pot with cold water and ice to blanch the broccoli for another 3 minutes.
Drop your olive oil into a pan or griddle, along with the broccoli and the other ingredients.
