Slowing the inevitable decrepitude
76 yo here.
Going to gyms off and on for decades: more consistently since 1992.
Lately changed my routines to build/keep muscle: reps to failure: decrease weight: reps to failure, etc. SLOW and fully engaged up AND down. Seems harder, but better I believe. Muscles need to keep tension longer, not fast reps to a preset number.

Grabbed today in Chico, CA (GC). Oiled the pale out of the fretboard with F-One. Set the neck rod (it was loose)! Glorious sounding/playing with StringJoy Broadway nickel wrap. ‘Course now the G string is hotter’n a pistol. I just don’t care about that. Perfection is a slow death. That’s why I like vintage specifications, warts and all.

My 2008 AmDlx. Very versatile. Neck not as chunky as I usually like, but I’m used to it now and the compound radius and med/jumbo frets are swell!
