Was cutting the cavity for my truss rod and accidentally cut a small hole in the neck. On top of this, the truss rod is only a snug fit if placed upside down, otherwise it's too loose... I was planning on installing 2 carbon fibre rods, whats the plan here? Do I need a new neck?

Currently working on building a guitar for myself, and I'm nearing the stage where I need to add frets to my neck, so I have a few questions I'm hoping you can answer:
Does the fret board need to be rounded, or can it be flat? If it has to be rounded what's the best way to go about that?
What are the bare minimum tools I need to make the fret board, I'd like to avoid buying specialized equipment as much as possible.
Are there any handy tips and tricks that would help me out? Particularly, what would the easiest way to make the fret slots accurately be?

A few weeks ago I started working on my own electric guitar, and I wanted to try and challenge myself to make one that has a similar width to height ratio as myself (kinda silly but idgaf). Now I cut it down and it measures 8.5 inches across at the widest, 5.4 inch.es across at the middle. Beforehand I thought this would be fine, just a really skinny guitar, but after finishing it I'm starting to question if it would be worth it to put the electronics in, or spend $50 and redo the body. Any thoughts are appreciated, don't be mean tho
