What’s the best way to back to the dock here? I’m kinda nervous.

Address: 6150 Xavier Dr SW, Atlanta, GA 30336. The reviews say the backing is really tight. I’m nervous because this will be the tightest backing I’ve had to do as of yet. I’ve been watching YouTube vids on 90 backing which has helped me gain a bit more understanding. All of my deliveries so far have been 45s or I’ve had enough room to pull up and straight back. One of the reviews said to move tandems all the way up. I haul a 53ft trailer in a sleeper cab. Any insight and advice is much appreciated! I added photos to help give more perspective on the space I’ll have to work with.

Edit: lots of helpful replies in such a short time. This sub is the freakin’ best and yall are awesome!!

Looking for a gaming laptop on a budget

Budget: $900
Country: USA
Use Case: Gaming
Preferred Specs: 16gb Ram - RTX 4050 - strong CPU.

I just want a solid rig to play league of legends and world of Warcraft on medium/high settings. For league I’d like 120fps and for world of Warcraft I think 60-100 would be just fine.

What brands/models would you recommend? I’ve been looking at the Lenovo LOQ and after tax most of them come out to $960 with my preferred specs. There’s a few running RTX 3050 but not sure if that’ll be reliable enough. Any input is appreciated! I’ll go ahead and get the Lenovo LOQ if there’s no better options, but would rather spend less. Thanks in advance!

What’s a good gaming laptop with a large screen?

So I’m an over the road truck driver (I drive all across the United States all month long living out of my truck) and I’m looking to implement a solid gaming setup that’ll work well and not be super expensive.

The game I’m most interested in playing is league of legends on at least 80fps, preferably 120fps though. I just want a laptop that’ll be able to smoothly run league on mid to high graphics with the aforementioned fps count. Also preferably with a larger screen because at home I have a decently large monitor and don’t want to game on a screen that feels overly-tiny.

Also, recommendations on a mobile internet set up? I heard starlink is pretty good but also expensive. I know Verizon (who I have my cell service with) offers mobile internet setups, does anyone have experience with that? And how’s the service?

Budget: $800
Country: USA
Use Case: Gaming - league of legends/World of Warcraft
Preferred Specs: Enough to get the job done. Likely something with enough CPU power since I know WoW is CPU heavy.

I’m a new OTR driver hauling reefer and…

I get paid 0.46 CPM and only get to be home 4 days out of the month.

Pros: I actually kind of love this job. It’s allowing me to gain some great experience and it genuinely gives me a sense of accomplishment and reward getting through each day getting the job done. It’s a blessing because it’s my entry to the CDL industry and I’m really looking forward to better jobs I’ll qualify for in the future.

Cons: I also kind of hate this job. This company is paying me dirt and I have given them my entire life for the time being until I gain enough experience to land a better gig. It’s crazy. I know I make them so much money too. You think starting pay would be AT LEAST 50 CPM for this type of work but I guess not. It blows my mind.

Wizard101 in 2026?

I’m technically a long-time Wizard101 player but I’ve always played very on and off, and never actually reached max level. I’m interested in coming back since it’s been about 2 years since I’ve played and I’m looking for some insight.

What’s the game like now? Is the player base still active or does it feel empty now? Also, I’m a level 100 storm wizard in desperate need of new gear. I’m still rocking waterworks gear and if I come back I think I have to spam darkmoore for the gear from there? Any incite is appreciated. Thanks!

Where do you slide your tandems to make driving in Florida easier?

I drove down to FL on the 7th hole and had my weight perfectly balanced. I’m driving back home today (also in Florida) and there’s gonna be some tight turns to make. Should I leave it on 7? I was thinking maybe moving to 6 or maybe even 5. Any advice? I’m a new driver and this is my first solo week. Not really worried about it tbh but I wanted to ask. This community has been extremely helpful. Thanks!

Looking for advice/help. How could I have done better?

I picked up a load from Kansas headed to Florida, roughly about 1550 miles. Left on 06/03 drove a little over 9hrs, on 06/04 I drove almost my full clock with only 22mins to spare (bad time, super stressful) and today I once again drove almost my full clock with about 30mins to spare (once again, super stressful) I’m still roughly an hour away from my first stop which is scheduled for 3am, but I won’t even be out of my sleeper until almost 6am. I encountered so much traffic in Alabama and Florida. I don’t see how I could’ve made these appointments on time. I trip planned as best as I know how, I’m a new driver, and I think I’m about to be fired.

This load has multiple stops, all on the same day. It’s an expensive load, and when I called dispatch they said it CAN’T be late. They gave me a plan to try and get there on time (which had about a 5% chance of working and it involved PC shenanigans) and I went ahead and tried it. It’s been a miserable trip and I’m disappointed in myself but idek if I could’ve done any better. I think I’m about to be fired because they said it can’t be late. It’s a really heavy and expensive load.

The amount of stress this caused me is making me rethink OTR. I hate that this is the entry to trucking for most. Why do all the OTR companies take the rookies and it’s hard to find a local job? Today has made me so frustrated and if they fire me then I get it, and I accept full responsibility, but holy shit idk what else I was supposed to do.

Edit: I didn’t commit to the PC shenanigans. Traffic was so bad I couldn’t even make it to that part of the “plan” lmfao

What is prime parking?

I see spots reserved for prime parking all the time at truck stops but what exactly is it? How does it work? And is it worth buying into? How often do people just park in those spots without having what I assume to be is a membership?

Ford Bronco - Is it for me?

Hey everyone! I’ve (26M) been driving my 2010 Honda Accord since 2018. I’m getting ready to buy a new car in the next couple of months, and I have a few questions about the Bronco.

First off, I love the look of the Bronco. The square body masculine look is exactly what I want in a car and in terms of style, the Bronco checks all the boxes for me. However, I don’t actually do very much off-roading (I do live in FL though, so I can definitely find opportunities to) and I’m also an OTR Truck Driver so I’m not gonna be home very much to actually drive it since I’m home only a few days per month. That won’t always be the case once I land a local job though, hopefully in a year or so.

So I guess what I’m asking is if the Ford Bronco would be a good fit? Would it be realistic? Would I have to worry about it not being driven much within the first year-ish of owning it? If not, then what would you recommend? I also really like the F-150 and Silverado, and of course the Jeep Wrangler but I think the Wrangler would be less suitable and I want something a little bigger than a Wrangler anyways. Any input is much appreciated since this will be the first time actually buying myself a car, thank you!!
