Which drama made you fall in love with K-dramas?

For me, it was True Beauty. It was the second drama I watched in 2024 and ever since then I have been obsessed with Kdramas. It’s definitely not perfect but it was so fun in every way, its going to forever have a special place in my heart❤️‍🩹

What was the drama that made you fall in love with Kdramas? And do you still love it and rewatch it to this day?

It may even be that your first drama didn’t get you hooked but another one you watched after it did, was that the case for you? Squid game was my first drama but it definitely wasn’t the one that got me hooked.

Are there any Kdramas that gives similar vibes to the Cdrama The First Frost?

Anyone that has watched this Cdrama and loves it would know just how beautiful this drama is in every way, their love story was honestly one of the best I’ve ever seen. The male lead, Sang Yan, was EVERYTHING omg, the things he did for her, the way he healed her, I just loved it so much.

I know this drama is very unique and special but is there a Kdrama anyone has watched that gives similar vibes to it?? It doesn’t even have to be exactly like it, but one that has a beautiful love story like it, and has a male lead who heals the FL and yearns for her etc like Sang Yan did?

I can’t get over this drama, and I’m really curious to see if there is a kdrama out there similar to it😭

A kdrama I’ve watched that has a similar ML would be lovely runner which is one of my absolute favourites. But it definitely doesn’t have the same vibes and feels as The First Frost.

What makes a kdrama a masterpiece for you?

For me, a masterpiece is a drama that’s perfect from start to finish in many different ways. It has to have beautiful cinematography, beautiful OSTs that make me feeel things, incredible acting and chemistry between the leads, makes me feel all sorts of emotions throughout the journey, doesn’t feel rushed, and has to have the perfect last episode that’s wraps up everything beautifully.

Of course it’s rare to find dramas like this but the ones above are my top 4 (1. WLGYT 2. Our Movie 3. Lovely Runner 4. Mr Plankton) the ones that IMO met all my requirements for them to be masterpieces. I still think about all of them to this day and wish I could erase my memory so I could watch them all for the first time and feel all the emotions again. They all changed my life in different ways haha, especially when life gives you tangerines and our movie!

So I’m curious because I know everyone has different tastes, what makes a Kdrama a masterpiece for you? Which are the dramas you would consider masterpieces, and why?

Also I’d love if anyone could give any recs based on my top 4 faves, one that could potentially become my new favourite masterpiece💞

‼️If you mention any spoilers please use spoiler tags, thank you :)‼️

Soundtrack #1: So short, yet so sweet

So, I’ve finally watched Soundtrack #1 and omg, I loved it even more than I thought I would. I actually started it because I couldn’t get over Perfect Crown and needed something to fill the void, and it definitely did not disappoint!!

There was so much I loved about this drama. First of all, the leads! I absolutely loved their chemistry, and this is actually my first Park Hyung-sik drama! I loved Han Sun-woo so much, he portrayed him sooo well. And Han So-hee? She just never disappoints. I’ve watched her in Nevertheless and My Name before this, and she’s become one of my faves because not only is she gorgeous, but she can also ACT.

Even the cinematography was sooo beautiful. The shots, the vibesss, it was all so comforting to watch. Even the OST was so good.

Friends-to-lovers is actually one of my favourite tropes, and I think this drama did it so well that it’s become my new favourite. >!The way he yearned, the way she fell harder, the way they were always there for each other, the fact that he never confessed because he didn’t want to lose or hurt her, and then her confession in the end…!< Omg, everythinggg. It was just such a precious relationship.

I just wish it was longer because I never wanted it to end 🥹 I’ll definitely be rewatching it though. A 10/10 from me, and I really recommend it to anyone who hasn’t watched it yet!

Also, I’d love it if anyone could recommend some dramas with similar vibes :) Sorry for the yap, I just had to come on here and rave about it haha.

I have just started my first ever costume CDrama after putting them off for so long since I’ve always seen people raving about them. I started Story of kunning palace because it has Zhang Linghe in it (it’s also my first drama of his) and because it sounded really interesting romance and plot wise.

I am enjoying it like 6 episodes in, but when I’m watching it, it feels like I don’t understand half of the stuff that’s going on, there’s so many characters, I don’t get who’s who and sometimes I don’t get what they’re talking about lol.

Maybe it’s because it’s my first costume drama?? Idk but does it get better? Because I am enjoying it but it feels really slow and confusing atm so idk if it’s worth continuing.
