What is the cost basis of stock shares in a trust

I will become the sole trustee of a spendthrift trust for my brother when the trust grantor passes.

Part of the trust assets are stock shares

When these shares have to be sold to provide yearly distributions for the beneficiary of the trust what will be the cost basis of the shares sold

Does a revocable trust have to be re-titled to an irrevocable trust when the grantor passes?

I have an existing revocable living trust in the state of Maryland. My son "Steve Smith" is the beneficiary and my daughter "Jane Doe" is the co-trustee. It is titled
John Smith Revocable Trust
John Smith Trustee
Jane Doe Trustee
It is unclear to me if when the grantor of the living trust passes, the title of the trust must be formally changed from the name of the grantor of the trust to the name of the beneficiary and the surviving trustee
Steve Smith Irrevocable Trust
Jane Doe Trustee
If so, must the new title include Irrevocable Trust or can it just be titled Steve Smith Trust?
Thanks for your help in clarifying this

Setting up bank Trust accounts

I live in Maryland have set up a spend thrift trust account for my son when I pass.

My daughter will become the sole trustee of the trust.

My son will initially receive 45k a year to cover his projected food, shelter, estimated taxes, and other cost of living expenses.

The assets of the trust’s bank and equity accounts are currently under my social security number and I understand that after I pass, my daughter will have to replace my social security number on those accounts with the EIN number she will apply for from the IRS.

Should the account his projected budget be deposited in be a part of the trust, or can it be a an individual account using his social security number.

Thanks for your help in clarifying this question

Samsung Galaxy Laptop battery problem

battery charging problem with my Samsung Galaxy laptop

I own a 4 year old Samsung laptop (NP950QED)

Battery was not charging with charger cable plugged and the laptop would turn off when the battery went below 15%.

The problems seems to be that the laptop battery is draining faster than the charger is charging it.

Isn't the laptop supposed to work with the charger if the battery is dead?

I figured the laptop battery was on the way out

After replacing the battery with a new one I'm getting the same problem with the new one

Can someone advize what the problem may be

Are there any Samsung or Windows 11 battery settings that might address this problem.

Would appreciate any advice on this frustrating problem. Thanks for your help

NP950QED charging problem

After charging problems with my Samsung laptop

I don't know whether the new battery is bad, the charging cable is bad or there may be some Samsung settings or Windows 11 battery settings that might address this problem.

Would appreciate any advice on this frustrating problem.
