hi guys, its been a minute since i’ve had a yeast infection but i’m feeling the symptoms and my health insurance just went out at the end of last month so i’m working on getting another coverage but long story short i can’t afford to make a appointment with my doctor right at the moment.

so i was wondering if any otc methods work? i’ve seen several posts talking about the monistat 1, 3, 7 treatments and some type of cream. now i was already starting to think about taking a boric acid pill because things seem pretty off down there, slight itchiness, kind of creamy white discharge with no smell, and discomfort after sex.

i know it might be bv againbut i’d rather die then get on metronidazole again because the side effects were TERRIBLE and i couldn’t physically make myself do anything but sleep all day and work shifts while i was exhausted

i’m also just looking for recommendations for vaginal probiotics or boric acid i can stick up in my vagina after sex because most of the time my bf cums inside me and i know thats not good for the hooha health so limiting that and good probiotics/boric acid suppositories recommendations are appreciated!!

anywho, i guess i’m just looking for what has worked for you guys! i’m also going to be going on a trip with my bf this upcoming friday for his birthday so i really want some treatment that can work fast!!

for the love of EVERYTHING please tell me how i can keep basement bugs (centipedes and millipedes specifically) OUT of my room 😞

i’m in one of three rooms in the basement and it seems like they just love to be in my room despite me vacuuming once a week and doing foggers. this is the second time THIS MONTH i’m doing one because i saw a creepy crawler on my BED.

anyways i’m open to literally any tip to keep then out of my room. i deep cleaned my room the first time i did a fogger and everything is in totes and not cluttered up and i’ve kept my room decently cleaned since the first fogger. i’ve also kept my bed away from being pushed against a wall. anywho i’ve seen basement bugs traps at walmart and i’m debating on if i should get them or not.

i know millipedes and centipedes are harmless but i’d rather not see them or feel them crawling on my bed when i’m trying to sleep 😭

also! when i deep cleaned my room, i did not see any cracks or holes that could allow the bugs to get in from the outside.

any tips and tricks are appreciated sm 🙏

so, this is my 3rd time posting about having bv and this is really frustrating me.

so i, 19f, went to the doctor about two weeks ago and did std/sti testing while also having a pelvic exam. the swab came back for bacterial vaginosis despite having no unusual discharge or the symptoms — basically my vaginal felt normal, no burning, no itching, no cottage cheese like discharge. anyway she prescribed me metronidazole 500mg two tablets daily for 7 days. and i did but by the 3rd day i started having said symptoms. i had thick grey-ish discharge that had no odor, my pee started smelling like the antibiotics which i deemed normal because i thought it was the antibiotics fighting the infection.

by the 4th day i started bleeding, now i’m on the birth control pill and frequently skipped my periods, i didn’t know whether this was normal or not so i called my mom (would’ve called my doctor but it was the weekend) she said she never experienced it and that i would be okay. so i believed her and kept taking the pills. now, i finished my last dose yesterday yet i’m STILL bleeding, it isn’t as bad as i was the past 4 days. it doesn’t smell like period blood - it has no odor really.

due to my health insurance literally just expiring i’m not sure if i’ll be able to afford another appointment for now but i will call my doctor tomorrow morning to see if she thinks these symptoms are normal.

i’ve researched and keep getting mixed opinions on boric acid. some people say it works and some people says it doesn’t, tomorrow night if my doctor approves or if she can’t give me any helpful information i’ll try taking boric acid for the next 3 nights.

i’ve also started taking the Lemme Purr vaginal probiotics gummies and Azo Cranberry gummies to help the growth of good bacteria back to my vag.

anyway i guess i just want some advice? maybe other stories from other women who have dealt with these side effects from the metronidazole and brand names of boric acid suppositories would be helpful!!

second post about me taking bv antibiotics for the first time 😭 but i 19f was prescribed to take metronidazole twice a day for 7 days and i’m on day 5. i’ve experienced itching and weird discharge and i need to know if this is normal or if i should be concerned.

after i used the bathroom today and wiped it was like brownish mixed with a bit of pinkish red with no smell like at all. it didn’t smell like blood or anything. i know its probably normal while the antibiotics are fighting the infection but i just want to be kinda sure. there’s not enough of it to stain my underwear though and everything down there just smells like the antibiotics (when i pee and wipe).

and i also should mention that the weird discharge and itching didn’t start until after i started taking the metronidazole so is it possible that the drug itself gave me the problem?

also i want to mention my birthday is tomorrow and i’m planning on going on a trip with my bf where we’ll stay at a hotel with a pool, would it be safe if i were to get in said pool?

so i got diagnosed with BV like a week ago and i was late in getting the metronidazole the doctor prescribed to me (like a week late) and today i took a little swipe with my finger and got a pretty big clump of grey-ish clumpy disharge.

i’ve never had bv before so i’m not sure if this is normal during treatment or not. i also have itchiness so I’m pretty sure i’m getting a yeast infection with these antibiotics so i’m going to have my doctor prescribe fluconaznole after i finish the round of antibiotics for the bv.

i should also mention that during the week i didn’t get the antibiotics i was with my boyfriend all week and i did let him finish inside me multiple times so i’m not sure if it made the bv worse or what. it’s not the first time we’ve had sex raw or the first time he’s came in me, we were both tested and we’re both clean

i didn’t have any grey or abnormal discharge until after i started taking the antibiotics as well

i guess i’m just wanting to know if having this discharge is normal during treatment?

a little about me, i like anime, kpop, gaming, movies, shows (euphoria, supernatural, tbbt, etc). i was previously kind of a gym girl but i got busy but honestly thinking about starting to go back to the gym. i have the cutest kitty, his name is nero and he is a black cat with white tuffs on his fur and i love him a lot he is my baby. i’m very talkative through text if we have an interesting conversation or if we just fuck around stuff like that- i also love vcing (of course i’d have to know you for a bit) and would be open to vcing at work too (if i’m pick walking).
