So I ran into my entitled neighbor yesterday. Little back story, My sister and I bought properties from investors who buy farms and subdivide into large lots. My wife and I have 13 acres and she has 22. We live about a half mile apart. We have a mutual neighbor who moved in about 2 years ago and shares a right of way with my sister. First thing he does to her is buy gravel for the right of way and expects money from my sister to help pay for it. He is very adamant that everybody drives 10 miles an hour on the right of way. No posted speed limit. My sister warned me about him so I go slowly to her place. I had borrowed their truck the other day and was returning it, as I drove to her place there is a little dog leg on a slight hill that Ken’s drive way enters the right of way. I look over and he’s on his tractor looking at his phone and looks like he’s about to hit the berm on the side of his driveway. So I go drop off the truck and my wife was about 5 minutes behind me. I get in her car and she tells me she had lay on her horn to get Ken’s attention before he hits her car with the tractor. As we’re leaving and just pass Ken’s driveway, he gets off the tractor and wants to talk to us about driving on the road. So he comes up and tells us we’re going too fast. I asked how fast were we going and do you have a radar gun? Considering you were on your phone and my wife had to honk her horn before you hit her vehicle. He replies I was on a call and at least 40 feet from her. So he continued to detain us, at this point I was pissed and asked my wife to drive on, but she continued to argue with him. Now he’s recording us with his phone and has his hand on the car. I not so kindly told him to get his effing hand of our car. He’s threatening to get us banned from the right of way. He then gets the phone right in my face so I snatch it out of his hand a toss it (I know that was wrong). We drive home and I call my sister to tell her about the altercation. Later that night she call me after talking with Ken and tells me he called his lawyer. Ken doesn’t realize that we share a property line. Thanks for letting me vent
