I find plenty of how to's for the uv5r mini, holding the center blue button. Does anyone know how to do this on the mini 5? Thanks.

Years ago I got a safe, made my own change key and set my combination. Since then I have read a few times that you should never set your numbers 5 numbers apart, i.e. 30 and 35. What is the rationale for this? I'm asking here because safes and lock smithing seem to be different things. Thanks.
