Is 2 years 3 months to young to watch a fire works show?

MIL says he is too young. I think my son would enjoy. He might get a little scared of the pop noise so I got noise reducing head phones for him. Any thought or opinions?

Can you explain to me, in the most simple terms, what is causing the civil divide and unrest in mexico, what the different political parties are called in mexico, and what each party stands for?

Im looking to better understand the political issues of mexico. I would like to start here then read deeper into the matters through the mexican media

Is reading books just a fantasy?

When our son was between 0-18 months, i could barely get my child to look at all but 2 pages of a board book, until he lost interest and cried after 1 mins.

Since 18 months to now, every time I get a book out to read, he rips it from my hands. Opens a few pages. Moves it about and doesn't let me take it back to read with out a tantrum.

I attempt this at least 3-4 times a day and all the same effect. I have probably like 60ndifferent board books and all the same effect.

I might give up the trying to read part. Maybe get the nook and just make up randomness until this stage paseess.. Anyone in the same boat? When does it pass?

Im done with seeking info regarding nannys and babysitters

I was simply trying to find the going rate for caring for 2 kids in a MCOL city for a temporary position (1 week) while nanny would be out. I posted on the baby sitter sub cause it's not really a long term thing.

Immediately down voted. One person, a MOD mind you, kept trying to get me to disclose what city I live in. I get that info is helpful but like diving into my post history and telling me you see I post from a specific area and pushing me to confirm gives off creeper vibes.

They tor into me why I'm not offering a TEMPORARY person pto and benefits.

Im done with it all. The NP on this sub have been great but every on else is just too much.

Thank you Nanny parents and employers who have given me great advice along the way. I wish you best of luck.

What is fair for a wage for a 3 month old, and a 3 year old in a MCOL?

Hi, I would like to know what you would consider fair for wage for a medium cost of living city for a part time baby sitter, for a 3 year old, and 3 month old?

No, benefits. No contract. Only duties are to ensure kids are safe, and fed. Minimal meal prep (chopping fruit for kids, microwaving pre prepped dinners), washing the kids dishes, bottle feeding. Bathing kids. Some screen time but no brain rot.

I know the typical answered is Google it, but I want to know from your perspective. Please also do not insist on providing benefits, health care, or contracts. Just what you think per hour for 15 hrs of work for someone who can handle the 2 children.

Mother's day gift to nanny- ok or strange?

My son loves his 64 year old nanny. She has become a part of the family. Would it be strange to give her mother's day candy and flowers?
