







I hate when people attempt phonetic spellings but still use syllables where the pronunciation is completely open for interpretation.
For example, in another sub, someone was poorly trying to explain the unique way they pronounce Canada as CAN-a-da. This reads as the common way to pronounce Canada and gives us zero clue as to their "unique" pronunciation. Oftentimes, like in this case, people are just using the normal spelling of the word and adding a few hyphens. I see this on every discussion about pronunciation and it mildly infuriates me every time.
Google lens says "fissurina" but I could only find one similar looking photo and that was on the Wikipedia page Google linked to.
