HELP! Need a dress recommendation! Taupe/ champagne cocktail dress

I am officiating my brother's wedding and I am really struggling to find something to wear.

Things to consider:

  1. Color: Taupe/Champagne. The bride has asked that I wear this color, which is not the best for my skin tone (fair skin, medium dark brown hair).
  2. Dress Code: Cocktail attire, but I am ok going a bit fancier.
  3. Weather: It will be outdoors in Arizona in November. It will probably be 80-70 F
  4. Style: I have 32 DDD bra size, and normally I like to dress a little sexy, but obviously for this occasion I don't want to show too much cleavage, but I still want to feel beautiful.
  5. Cost: Preferably under $400.

Please help with suggestions!

I put a lot of work into this baby blanket for a friend but I made it double sided so it takes forever to dry. I feel like I can’t give it to a new mom. Should I take it apart?

I wanted to make a blanket for my friend’s new baby. It was important to me that it be easy to wash and dry so I chose Caron simply soft acrylic yarn. I liked the flower design but I didn’t like the back of the square (included in 2nd picture) so I made double the squares and stitched them together so the blanket would be reversible. After I finished I washed the blanket and it filled with water and was extremely heavy. I had to wring it out before putting it in the dryer and then it took several cycles of drying. I can’t give this to my friend as is, it’s more of a burden than a gift. I have made other baby blankets for other friends but they were 1 ply so it dried easily. I could take it apart and make it one sided but I don’t love that either. I don’t know what my specific question is I just feel really disappointed and defeated.

Is there a more secure way to do eyes on a granny square while still making them not visible from the back?

I made these two reversible baby blankets and some of the eyes came loose in the wash and you can see where the ends were woven in. Could I take them all out and paint black dots on? Is there a different way to make eyes?
