I work as a driver in a relatively conservative area. Just by the nature of driving, I see others who work the industry and there seems to be a much higher concentration of alternative individuals in the field compared to in the rest of the world, even for a conservative area. By alternative I mean some variation of goth, emo, metalhead, punk, scene, etc. I myself am punk and am curious to see the concentration of other alternative individuals.

Hi all, I’m a student and currently work as a driver for my local home. I am new to driving but not the field, and I’ve experienced decomp but not bad, only very early ones. The other driver for the home has told me stories, probably just to mess with me, of how bad decomp can be, and it’s starting to stress me out. I know the Vick’s technique but he’s said that is dubious or can make it stick easier. So for when I do experience a bad decomp, can I use any type of gas mask to block the smell? Are there any other tips to make the experience easier? I know I’ll eventually have to get used to it, but I would just like a bit of a smoother transition before being stuck with a decomp in the van for a while.
