Made a comment, people responded with my employer…

Made a comment on a post (different social media, account has my name on it) of the picture with the stupid patriot front people on the subway. My Comment pointed out that they are all probably federal agents. Put my phone away for a while and later when I opened it up I had several notifications, many liberal replies. One of which named my employer, a law firm. That means they likely looked me up on linkedin, found it, and dropped it just bc of that simple comment. Ridiculous. Deleted it immediately. I don’t think my employer would care, the main partner is conservative. But it’s ridiculous that over such a non controversial comment, they wanna stalk me and publicly post where I work. These people suck.

Edit: just gonna emphasize that this was not on reddit. That’s how they had my name. Also, I’m getting harassed in the Reddit chat by the left lurkers here. Do that many leftists lurk on here? They should get a job.

BJA membership thoughts

I’m able to go part time soon while I continue law school with a bankroll that could easily support full time play. As seen on my flair, I have about 250 hours (on my small bankroll) of experience at the tables and I’ve learned a lot in that time.

With all that in mind I’m highly considering a BJA membership too keep my skills sharp, and especially the networking on there. Between the forum, regional chats, with all the other members, the casino 411, it seems extremely helpful for my AP career going forward.

However, I’ve used cvcx and I agree with many on this sub that it (BJA) seems overpriced for what it is. On top of that I’ve heard two different sides to the story about the cease and desist order from a few months ago about blackjack.tools. (Which is cool but there’s no networking and the casino conditions seem unreliable and missing some information such as sweaty shifts and whatnot).

I was leaning towards it but it just seems a bit expensive and controversial. On top of that, I have to ask if I think it’s worth it. The forum seems really valuable but $300/year? Bro. For my bankroll that’s really not much but like most other APs, I’m cheap and only buy things if worth it to me.

I see mixed reviews on the sub, but mostly negative but sounds like coming from people who have never used it.

What incentive do casinos have to keep double debt games and good pen?

**double deck.

I’ve wondered this for a while. DD games are incredibly slow relative shoe games especially because DD games are usually hand shuffled. I don’t understand why casinos have any incentive to keep DD games rather than shifting to shoe games.

As for pen, I understand that better pen increases the game speed which is better for the casinos. But since casinos are so sensitive to card counting and act like it will ruin their business if they let card counters play, it doesn’t make sense to give good pen either. The slight decrease in rounds per hour from worse pen from their perspective should certainly be worth the significant deterrent that it is against card counters.

What do you guys think?
