Beginner - what do I need to watch out for when swapping speakers?
I have a 2026 Hyundai Tucson with the basic 6 speaker system; four door speakers and two tweeters in the top of the door. I'm not worried about bass, I just want something that sounds a bit less harsh than the stock, paper speakers. I was planning on putting Alpine SXE-1751S Component speakers and tweeters up front and Pioneer F-Series TS-F1634R coaxial speakers in the rear doors. I was going to be two sets of adapters for mounting the 6.5" speakers as it appears the stock speakers are built into the adapters that are there now. Is this project as simple as removing the old, connecting and mounting the new? Or are there things I need to know but probably don't. I am a former electrician who has worked in Automation, building machines for the last decade so taking apart car doors and doing anything with wires doesn't scare me. What does is the things I don't know. As for the speaker selections, they were arbitrary based on cost and reviews. I would probably spend $150-200 total if there was some substantial jump in quality vs what I've selected. I listen to grunge, 80's pop, some blues and a few podcasts. I don't need a lot of base, I just want a little fuller sound than what the stock speakers deliver. There is almost no mids, even with the mid tone turned all the way up. The only way to get decent mids is to turn up the volume to a point that makes the highs harsh. Thanks for any insight.
Are these worth saving? I would prefer them as coins, not pendants.
A family member way back through the generations turned these coins into pendants. Wondering if removing the link, likely revealing a hole would be worse than leaving as is.
What factors lead to some models having great lease deals while others do not?
As a specific example, The Hyundai Tucson appears to have generally good lease deals while the Hyundai Santa Cruz does not. They are effectively the same vehicle with a different body. Is it wildly different residual values? Is it the manufacturer geared up to make more of one than the other? What leads to these leasing out completely differently?
PCA Since the tarps off, overrated game
He is 15 of 29 (.517) with 5 HRs and 8 RBI including that game. Somewhere just before that he had worked on a couple of subtle changes to his stance and swing. He's standing a little taller and getting his front foot down earlier. He is doing what he did early last season, catching those inside pitches out in front of the plate and putting them in the seats. Fun to see him coming back.
Lol at the Brewers, Cardinals or Sox fans lurking and down voting. You want to say something sooooo bad. Mind the rules now.
Shota is an enigma.
Going back to the last couple months of last season, the rate at which he is giving up HRs is high enough that on it's own might get a younger less established pitcher sent down to work on some things. On the other hand, his WHIP puts him in All Star territory. I think he's still sitting below 1.10 this year and finished last year at 0.99. That's elite territory. It's maddening because he can absolutely dominate for a few innings, then get rocked over a couple others. Love the guy but I'm always waiting for the HR with him on the mound.
Did anyone score the 7U DP the other day? And why I keep scoring even when my team is getting crushed
I'm a big Cubs fan and score whenever I can, wherever I am. When you score your own team it can be tempting to put the book down when they're getting beat bad but I almost never do. While the play I mentioned in the title happened early in the game, it can happen anytime. I'm always hoping I get to score something unusual. The great thing about baseball is unusual things happen a lot. Sometimes it's something that might only happen a handful of times in a season. Sometimes it's like the play I'm referring to that hadn't happened since Gomes did it in 2013. And sometimes something will happen that has never happened before. There's no predicting when in any game that may be so as tempting as it is to put down the book in a depressing game, I keep on.
Is it me or do the White Sox have an unusually high number of guys who chew gum with their mouths open?
reddit.comDoomers drooling with Ben Brown named the starter. Make em wait another day Ben!
reddit.comFor so many years over the last five decades, if the Cubs blew a late lead you could turn off the TV and check the box score in the morning to see if it got worse. You cannot turn off the TV for these Cubs. There will be lows this year, thus is baseball but man it is so much fun watching this team right now. You have to stay up for the last pitch, anything can happen with this bunch.
I was denied recently for a Chase credit card. I have an 835 FICO, multiple, well aged accounts with high limits, I never carry a balance and have never missed a payment anywhere. I also already have two Chase credit card accounts, a mortgage with Chase and multiple checking and savings accounts with Chase, all with constant positive balances. Or so I thought. I have three adult children. When they were in high school, we opened checking accounts for them. I think they were classified as custodial accounts. I don't remember the exact term for the account but my wife and I were on the accounts with them because they were minors. When they became legal adults the accounts were converted to regular checking accounts by Chase.
I called Chase today to inquire about the denied credit card. The reason they gave was a frequently overdrawn checking account. My oldest daughter has a bit of a budgeting problem and frequently overdraws her account. Turns out we (my wife and I) did not get removed from the accounts when Chase converted them from custodial accounts to regular checking accounts. When Chase's automated review process looked at all of the accounts I'm on as part of their approve/deny process, my daughter's account showed up. That account caused the denial. I have the option to have the application reviewed and I'm guessing it would be approved but I haven't done that as of now. I just wanted to know what caused the denial. This was a new one for me.
Thought I'd share this for anyone who may have a similar arrangement on bank accounts. I'm not sure if this is unique to Chase, if other banks do this or if this is something a lender outside of Chase would have access to but it's worth keeping in mind as you manage your finances and credit.
