31, first time diagnosis, of course it's on my face and I'm nursing

I have an 8 week old baby and I'm told to limit contact with her to limit the chances of giving her chicken pox. I woke up 2 days ago with the rash on my face, eye crusted shut. Went to the ER yesterday and the doc said he didn't see the shingles on my eye but wants me to go to Opthalmology tomorrow morning to get a second opinion. It's on my lip, cheek, eye, hairline, and scalp. Will I have scarring from the scabs? How long will it take to scab over? I hate this.

Settle something for me

My in-laws SWEAR that when my husband was born, he immediately drank a 10 oz bottle. Right after birth. No he did not, right? Even though he was about 10 lbs there's no way that happened? Anyway, they keep trying to subtly convince me that bottle feeding will make the baby more full- hence sleep through the night. Apparently my husband was the best slept baby in the world and never woke up because my MIL gave him rice cereal in his formula bottles every night. I'm wanting to breastfeed as long as I can (I dried up around 6 months with my first) and they think I'll never sleep, baby will never be content. Just needed to rant into the void

Beyond miserable

This is my 2nd pregnancy and my 2nd time having cholestasis. I swear though it's so much worse this time. We've already upped my dose of ursodiol and it's just not doing the job. I'm still scratching all day and night. I wake up with bleeding scratches, I'm getting scabs. I look and feel like a crazy person. I just want the itching to stop. And I still have 6 or 7 weeks so go depending on how high my bile acid levels are. I've decided this is my last pregnancy because I just cannot go through this again and that makes me sad, but given what I'm going through and the fact that stillbirth is a big possibility I just can't go through it again. I'm struggling so hard mentally because I'm so uncomfortable in my skin. Can anyone relate?
