She likes being a menace

Honestly, I wouldnt change a thing and I love this kitty to death. She is definitly my soul cat and has played a huge part to why I am still here.

But why does this little menace only become a lap cat when I try to do my knitting and she would be in the way?

Again, I dont want to change the behaviour, but I find it interisting and would love to hear opinions why she does it (I also take tips how I can keep knitting with her on me)

Also, I have included more cat tax

Cat with elongated soft palate

Hey everyone,

I am thinking of adopting a special needs cat and need some advice.

The rescue sais that he has an elongated soft palate and chronic rhinitis.

I am mostly worried about the soft palate, since the only advice I can find on the internet is about brachychephalic animals (he is not) and is basically just to do surgery.

While surgery is definatly an option I will keep open for the future, I wont be able to do it rn since I dont have the money for the procedure and insurance wouldnt cover that.

Now to my question: Is surgery necissary or only, if his issues worsen (and when do i need to consider it). The rescue sais the only issue he has currently is snoring while sleeping and Id definatly keep an eye on his weight.

I am very thankful for any advice, so that i can guage if i can realistically take care of him.

Hey we have been having a problem with one of our cattos.

He keeps peeing on clothes when they are in a hamper or on a pile on the floor.

He does not pee on any other type of fabric or anywhere else outside his litterbox, its just when we stuff like before mentioned on the floor.

We have been to the vet and everything is fine. We also have 3 litterboxes for 2 cats, that get cleaned daily and he doesnt seem to have an issue using the litterbox normally and does so even when clothes are around, he just seems to prefer clothing.

We have also tried changing the litter and the litterbox and nothing helped so far.

He was adopted when he was around 6 months old and was living in pretty bad condition on the street before. He is a bit of a nervous cat, especially in the beginning, but weve had him for over a year now, and I cannot see any signs of nervous behaviour in him now. The peeing also doesnt have a trigger (like loud noises, the cattos fighting or us leaving the house).

I believe it is a marking territory/dominance thing. But i genuinely dont know how to avoid it and am asking for tips.

We are kind of at the end of our rope here, so any help is appreciated.
