Is it possible to be a Satanist while also decentering Christianity?

I know some people consider themselves biblical Satanists and I totally respect that!

for me, I feel very drawn to this religion alongside my practice of venerating Greek and Celtic deities as well as Goetic demons.

I’m just trying to parse…who this entity would be and where they fit if I’ve decentered Christianity

What’s the vibe at pride

I no longer live in Fredericksburg, but I was interested in going to pride this weekend!

I go to a lot of gay events (specifically lesbian) in DC and the vibe there is very…dress slutty and make out lol

So I’m wondering, is the vibe at the pride in Fredericksburg more family friendly? Would it be inappropriate to dress in revealing clothes?

Stewards of the earth

I am working on letting go of Christian hang ons. One idea that’s been important to me to embrace (opposite of what I was taught growing up) is that we are here to enjoy life and hedonism is ok as long as no one is hurt (sex, food, etc.)

One idea that I liked when I was a Christian was the idea that we are stewards of the earth we were given. Does anyone incorporate a similar idea in their practice?

I guess my issue is on some level, the Hollywood portrayal that Satanists desire the destruction of everything. I think I only desire the destruction of corrupt systems.

Does anyone else’s parent text/call them incessantly?

I had previously set a boundary that he wasn’t to give me advice if I didn’t ask for it first only to be met with 10 days of cold shoulder and then acting like nothing happened when I reached back out first. Now he’s often passive aggressive about it (“I’m not giving you advice, FYI, bc I know how much you hate that” etc).

I vented to him about a situation at work yesterday and I was mad. He said well you should call me later. I said I probably won’t because I’m in no mood to talk because I’m angry (again, not at him, a work situation). He proceeds to call me a couple hours later, text me about four times during the work day the next day, and call me again the next evening.

I texted him and basically said hey I can’t really answer you during work and it’s best to ask before calling me (like he often calls me while I’m out with my dog so I miss it). He said “ok well I’m going to keep texting you even if you don’t answer because I like to say hi” 🙄

Like I get it we live far away from each other. But it’s so immature and annoying.
